Also fack paying for Sky and BT Sports, if you know a good satellite person you can easily get a modem from them that has every Sky and BT channel for a whole year. And you only pay £40 for it. That's what my old man has been doing for the last three years.

is that bts top package? virgins is 200 down 20 up i think.

Infinity 2.

I was a trial when they first bought fibre out and was on 60 d/l then when the first rolled it out went on another trial and was hitting speeds of 150 dl.

Think they've capped it down now ATM but believe they are rolling out very high speeds soon

unfortunately i dont think im in their fiber area i got a phone call from them once when i was debating shopping around and i asked him best he could offer was 17 down :/ which forced me to just stick with virgin at the time.

We don't get virgin here but I'd probably never leave Bt as it's superb.

Probably be faster if I try test it again at 4.00 am.

"Also fack paying for Sky and BT Sports,"

Won't be doing that anyway. Work most weekends so no point. Handy having bt until July tho for the CL.

BT also lets you use their wifi (which covers most city centres) to stream their games to a phone or tablet.

If you're with EE you can watch BT Sport on your phone/tablet free for the first six months too. Don't need to be a BT customer.

"Bt is £37 a month atm with free sports until July, but again not sure how worthwhile that is now they split the game with sky.

In a nutshell. I know feck all!"

Just saw that, which deal are you looking at grated? Mine was cheaper than that, do it through uswitch and compare providers that way as it showed offers I didn't get on the bt website itself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Found it on uswitch melts.

It's £36.99

52mb infinity fibre, £100 pre paid MasterCard , free amc Comedy Central etc, free BT sports till July. + £6 Netflix and calls

Seems pretty sound. Just as I say don't want to pay for TV if it's barely better than normal free view once the by sports runs out...

Cheers for all input anyways!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah I got that without the tv so 29.99. I just got the bt sport as a free app so I can then stream it. I'm keeping sky tv as I get that more than half price anyway.

And I'm a big streamer but not for football if I don't have to, I'd rather have it fully live if possible.

Free BT sports app?! Lucky man! Probably wouldn't bother with the TV part if I had a smart TV... But alas...

No I haven't got a smart tv either, I just got a firestick instead

Wow. Now you've opened up a whole new level to the predicament!

Really depends if you want or need any extra tv channels as well as the broadband. I've still got sky for the sports and then Kodi on the firestick for everything else really (and stream Bt sports to it when I want it)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

No, you can't really chip a firestick as such, you just load the app on manually rather than through amazon themselves.

Cheers melts, and all, got a mate who's going to have a look for me and sort it out. Computers are definitely not my strong point!
