One thing i would say is that we really need to start doing more in the final third, three games running and we have barely had a shot worthy of the name and appear to have one tactic, to get crosses into the box as often as possible.

Bloody hell, didn't realise Birmingham got pumped 4-1 at home by QPR

Will they even have a manager by Monday???

I think the tactic is to keep banging in the crosses and sooner or later one will bounce off Batth's @rse or a defenders ankle, or pinball around six players before finally dribbling over the line.

We only have strikers that score on their debut, eg. Bodvarsson and Weimann so my plan is to draw up a list of free agent strikers, get them in for one game to score their amazing goal, pay them 50 quid and feck 'em off again

You did ok today. The expected result but you weren't turned over.

That's very magnanimous of you aries. Now be careful or you are going to give the impression of being a fair minded neighbour and then there would be a real danger of people on here giving respect to what you say

Home from a really enjoyable evening. Time for a couple of beers to help get my voice back. Need to take that level of performance into league games at home...and find a striker with goals in them to back up bod and dicko.

Fabulous game to watch live with a great atmosphere in the stadium. So impressive to watch Chelsea live and the pace of the game and their excellent movement off the ball.

But Wolves were a match for them for the majority of the game and credit goes to every Wolves player. As GB said a really enjoyable evening and lets hope we can get the home league form going now, and also that its not too long before we have occasions like this regularly at Molineux again

It may already have been mentioned but I believe that was the highest Mol attendance since 1981.

If so I'm proud to say I have attended with the two biggest crowds in 35 years.

On the downside I have been to 5 home games this seasons and seen one goalless draw and 4 defeats. You can't win them all, or in my case, any of them.

Well done lads pity we don't have a goal scorer.

I see Fosun president Wang Qunbin was at today's game..........interesting.

No doubt drooling at the thought of what could have been. Hope he's a patient man.

Wonderful thread, no excuses

I hope all those plastic fans who left when Chelsea scored their second don't come back.

Great crowd, great atmosphere, same lack of cutting edge around the box. But to be fair the lads gave everything against a team that seem to have an almost supernatural understanding of how to play the game. Our boys could learn a lot from watching the game back, the speed of body and mind was something to be admired.

Would be great if all those part timers in attendance tonight turned up to get behind the lads next Friday though for what is a much more important match.

Yeah. It would be rubbish if we got a full house again this season.

Thought we played very well, were solid and by no means looked like a team near the bottom of the division. God knows how many crosses we put into the box but just didnt have that quality or bit of luck to get a goal.

2-0 flattered them and if we could sort out what happens in the final third things could have been a lot different which is our entire season in a nutshell.

Hope the same team lines up for Birmingham. Disappointed with the result but not the performance.

Now probs with the result, we created nothing of note and I hope CFC go on to lift the cup!

But, the way they move the ball from back to front and control the midfield thereafter, is somewhat mesmerising <seedouble> really enjoyed losing somehow UTW

Proud of the team, shouted myself hoarse, onwards and upwards

That's what you get for a £300m outlay and £150m wage bill.

Fosun are richer than Abramovic but we are Wolves and therefore sign Paul Gladon for a bag of peanuts in our bid to avoid the drop to League One.
