Shakey for the rest of the season

It's an interesting idea. Remember that Rob Kelly kept us up after Levein was sacked. My only concern would be whether he's tactically astute enough to be a manager. Perhaps bring in an experienced assistant alongside him to help with that.

My first choice would still be Rowett but at the moment, Shaky until the end of the season has to be worth a shot.

He'd be my first choice if Ranieri left before the end of the Season.

Pointless really because he isn't going anywhere.

I don't think tactics is the main thing, if the team spirit isn't there they won't work anyway. Shakey is the one to sort out the motivation, attitude and togetherness- he's been there and got the t-shirt. But as for the tactics, I think he would do OK from having watched and learned from his last 2 bosses. Rob Kelly- I'd forgotten all about him. Didn't he do a great job in the last matches of the season.

Give it to Murphy, Shearer and co they seem to know all the answers.
Seriously Taggart and Shakey could be the answer?

Ranieri or whoever the manager is needs to get Drinkwater playing well. (Granted he wasnt involved today)

The play-off season a few years back, we looked good for a promotion spot, but it all went wrong and we only just scraped the play-offs. Largely down to Drinkwaters form, of which seemingly looked terminal. I think we're in a similar mire here and he is key! MASSIVELY

I say the Mirror Sports Journalism team.

They daily (multiple times on some days) explain 'what's gone wrong' and why.

I think Ranieri has tricked us, he's asked the reserves to play badly so when the 'first team' play against Sevilla they will look immense

I don't care anymore. I'm taking my premier league trophy and I'm going home.

Ranieri to stay on. If not, Craig Shakespeare deffo, at least until end of season.
Maybe Eddie Howe from Bournemouth would be decent, although he likes to play passing, possession football - something we're crap at, hence, personnel change, in a big way. Not good for this season as he would have to work with the existing players.

These players are going to scar last seasons achievements if they are not careful. Surely they don't want or need that! What a terrible shame on them and our club if we get relegated.

These players should have at least kept us in the top 9 this season. At the very least!

Eddie Howe would not touch us with a barge pole at the minute

Howe is my preferred option for next season if we stay up. But there's no way he would come here this season, not a chance. Shakespeare (plus an experienced assistant) until the end of the season then Howe in the summer would be the ideal choice for me. We will need a huge clear out in the summer, regardless of which division we're in, and I think Howe could build a good squad here.

Howe would only leavr Bournemouth for a step up, we'd be a stop down.

Anyone like the look of David Wagner? Doing a great job at Huddersfield and has worked at Dortmund with Klopp I believe?

If we stay up (a big if), I think it's quite conceivable that Howe would come here. He might feel that he's taken Bournemouth as fas as he can, and it would be an opportunity to rebuild a club that, lest we forget, won the Premier League. I don't think he'd get a top 6 job any time soon so Leicester could be a good interim job for him between Bournemouth and a top side.

But I can't see us staying up, so it's all irrelevant anyway.

Yes, he would certainly be on my shortlist. He's done a top job at Huddersfield.

Howe would want players that can pass the ball to each other.

^ are you suggesting the Huth and Morgan aren't the best 2 ball playing centre backs in the league Dunge?

What games have you been watching?!

How wouldn't come here. Not next season not ever. He loves Bournemouth and will be there until the Arsenal job or a position of similar stature.

It's all irrelevant because Ranieri is here for the season no matter what. That's what Vichai has told him. That's what Rudkin has convinced him is the right decision

They are both completely deluded of course

It's not a given BS that Claudio won't be sacked. Don't underestimate the importance of the Asian concept of 'face' - the support expressed recently could evaporate if the embarrassing performances continue week in week out.

And I know that they stuck with Pearson through an apparently much worse run in the 'Great Escape' season, but there were differences then in expectations and the way we were playing.

If you saw the TV footage of Vichai at the Swansea game, that was not a shot of a happy bunny.

I think CR will stay until the end of the season then be moved out/up whichever.
Which then leads us to a replacement......
Howe
Wagner
Giggs
Mancini
Hoffenheim Manager

It could be interesting, but for the love of god not Pardew!!!
