"Pretty much as bad"

In winning the European Cup. Snaffling one success on penos after a late equaliser is not exactly putting Arsenal to the sword is it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Given your great European history of legendary nights, snaffling one trophy in 15 years on pens is hardly great either, is it?

I'd Chelsea and Arsenal's European records are very different post Roman.

Semi Finals: Chelsea 8 Arsenal 2
Finals: Chelsea 3 Arsenal 1
Trophies: Chelsea 2 Arsenal 0

Kind of is great when you get to keep the trophy having won it so many times actually.

Did Chelsea get one of the little replica ones?

Oh wow.....

So us winning it v Bayern...in their own back yard plus winning the Europa the next year...countless semi finals and only losing to a top quality Utd side on pens in 08...constitutes a 'pretty much' same record as you

Ok

Just you winning at Bayern would have sufficed and yes.

Bitter and deluded...no particular order...you choose

Just a fact. Feel free to call out Arsenal on the CL when Chelsea have that whopping one trophy to Arsenal's none despite having vastly more resources but it just seems a bit rich to me.

Not sure why the Europa keeps getting brought up though. Are we to slate Wenger for not winning a trophy that his side were too good to be in now?

Vastly more resouces....we just spend more wisely than you...

at last count I heard you had some qtr of a billion in the coffers

you do have Ozil though...we can't compete with that talent

Right. So I think you should know I don't support Arsenal and please don't say you spent more wisely during Romans tenure. It's laughable.

It reads like you'd like to be though...

Strangely I actually thought you were a pool fan...just couldn't be arssed looking...for the above reason

Also re Roman's tenure...yeah we've spent a lot...but we've won a truck load

go figure

and we've improved on in/out spend of late too...

Great, then we agree.

What it sounds like is. You've won £50m on the lottery just the once compared to him who never won at all. There is a massive difference Robbing and if you consider the number of teams that haven't won the champions league at all then you are halfway to understanding how good it feels to have won one

I dont need to be half way to understanding it. It's happened on multiple times to my club in my lifetime.

But if you consider all the teams that have won it once since Roman started spending a billion like us, Porto and Inter I'm not sure he should be willy waving in front of Arsenal really.

I'm not one to moan about others clubs money either, LFC have spent plenty, but you could say Chelsea have actually underachieved. That's a different debate though.

You're confusing us with City

I'm really not. I'm suggesting a club that has been at the forefront of unprecedented spending for nearly a decade and a half, having already been a European competition regular and spending from a position of relative strength unlike City, could and arguably should have more than one CL win.

It's not something I'd particularly subscribe to anyway. I thought the ref robbed you in the semi against Barca and Terry not slipping means it could be three wins.

Fine lines in football isn't it which is why I think a Drogba header one foot more to the right would mean you don't have a leg to stand on. As such I wouldn't give it large to a Liverpool fan remarking it would be nice for Wenger to go out on a record number of FA cup wins.

Different strokes though innit.

Dry your eyes mate.

Roman's gonna get bored soon.

And mind the gap

It seems the Chelsea board is a bit high brow for me so I'll leave you too it.
