Only so much as the advent of cloud hosting has driven down the costs of hosting sites like this. Obviously depends on your business, but would never bank on surviving on ad revenue alone.

It also depends on how much you are prepared to do yourself. We generally pay for relatively bare metal solution and build our stuff on top. You can no doubt pay for boxed forum solutions and the like, but they tend to be pricier.

Probably wouldn't wish to dicuss finance. Other than ad revenue rates are continually dropping. The growth of ad blocker and the glut of inventory means you'll struggle to make more than £0.33 per 1000 ad views.

I think that's a great idea. I never click any ads (barely even "see" them, I am that good at ignoring stuff!

Ads are turned off all over the place on here, cause if the issues we have had over the years. I need to sit down and get them back up and running a bit more normally over the next few weeks.

To be fair, it will be ads based on your search history. Not many places doing butt plug ads, probably why it didn't appear for you Ace
