Not looking forward to tonight

Tip.. Selby ( unfortunately), Trump, Fu, obviously want Ronnie, but not all well there.. A bit like Reading's season....

Think Trump has to be one of the front runners for the worlds this year. He's had a very good season make a good few finals and winning last night may give the edge and the confidence to win it.

Getting the discussion going kinsang mon the Blues tonight!

I think 7 or 8 players have a genuine chance of winning the World Championship. You'd probably have to make Slowby slight favourite though.

Bingham has a betting charge to answer to

It really is stupidity on Bingham's part. His excuse of not realising that he couldn't bet on other players' matches (and not just his own) seems very poor - is ignorance an excuse?

He's admitted the charge, but I wonder what the 'punishment' will be

I wonder if he will get a ban like what Stephen Lee did? It will probably end up being a slap on the wrist and community service kind of thing.

No matter how serious, betting when you're a player should not be allowed under any circumstances.

I know Lee was caught match-fixing but for me, it's the same kind of thing. They need to make an example of Bingham too.

Although they come under the same heading of 'betting', I think what Lee did was at one end of the scale whilst what Bingham did was towards the other end.

Doesn't mean that Bingham shouldn't be punished, but I would be surprised if he gets a ban. Probably a fine and a suspended ban barring any future incidents.

I still find it hard to believe his 'I didn't know the rules' defence!

Easiest thing to do if you're "not clear on the rules" is to not do it. Full stop.

I feel the rules in sport on these issues are quite slack. For instance, how can Sharapova return to tennis this week when technically she's still banned?

Will he miss the worlds?

There's no decision until after the Worlds because the "process takes so long it will go past the start of the tournament".

World Seniors Championship is on this Wednesday and they usually televise it on Skysports but I can't see it being televised anywhere at all that's well annoying. It's also a shame SkySports don't show any Snooker anymore. I remember back in the days they used to show British Open, Premier League and few other tournaments.

Does the Premier League still happen? I'm sure they changed it to another name a few years back or did they just scrap it all together?

Still another week until the China Open starts, then it's the Worlds qualifiers then the main event!

Premier League finished in 2012, I think they stopped it due to the amount of tournaments that were happening. I used to enjoy it and I well miss it.

Shame really as it was a bit different to other tournaments on the circuit.

Ng On Yee won the Women's World title yesterday. She beat Reanne Evans in the semis and won the final frame decider yesterday to win 6-5.

Ronnie won the Premier league an incredible 8 times ! can't understand why he never enters the shot clock tournaments..

Did Mark Selby ever play in it? I can't remember seeing him
