Wazzup with Jansson

I'd heard he was dropped cos this is the last game before the bookings are chalked off, so they figured it wasn't worth risking a 3 game suspension just for one game.

Especially given how prone Brighton are to hitting the deck at the slightest contact.

I didn't think there was a deadline for 15 bookings, if you get that many at any stage it's a 3 match ban.

I'd be doing this the other way round, get his bookings and get him banned.

I'm pretty sure booking carry into the playoffs, imagine him missing games in the playoffs because we tried to be too clever, we aren't getting top 2 (regardless of the fact we are the only top 6 side in the top 6 of the form table) so I'd let him get his bookings out the way, even if at the end of the match he purposely dissents etc

Maybe Sir Garry Monk was just making sure Coops was up to the job?

Jansson isn't a card away from a ban, he's 2/3 cards away. So it wasn't suspensions. Cooper needed game time, he does like to give everyone a game so I think it was just a chance for Cooper to keep match fit. Strange game to choose but it paid off

It's apparently because he liked, then I liked a tweet from Simon Jordan, praising us for taking 5k fans to London on a Tuesday night. And that we are a proper football club, coming awake again despite a " loon Italian owner"

Maybe he's "carrying a knock" that might rule him out of international duty?

Monk was alluding to another reason talking about "principles of the group" whatever that means. In any case hopefully a storm in a teacup and one that can be resolved over next 2 weeks and we move on.He's too big a player for us for this to play out otherwise.

Only thing I can think re that is that Monk has told his players not to get involved with Twitter spats. He might have crossed the line laid down.

Seems a nothing tap on the wrist if that's the case.

Liking a tweet calling cellino a loon probably didn't go down too well. Even though he may have liked it due to the praising of our fans or that we were a club on the up. Either way I think he'll be back in for the Reading game

All seems plauseable but why no interaction with the fans, seems childish to me.

Maybe didn't think it was appropriate if he was sitting one out effectively for above reasons. I'm sure there'll be plenty more interaction with fans in future games when he does play.

???? Kinda missing the point Rob. He should be pleased for his team they beat 1 of the best teams in the league.

They are and am sure he was but doesn't have to go back slapping every player to prove his commitment to his teammates which he has shown time and time again this season.

If it was anything really serious, he wouldn't have made the bench.

We had the rumoured bust up involving him a few weeks ago

Seriously though, what was he doing at full time?

Why did he shun the fans? What have they done wrong apart from sing his name every week.

Very very poor from him.

posted on 19/3/17

What do you mean 'shun the fans' did he walk straight down the dressing room ?

There's only four possible reasons for this.
girls
drink
