when decent Scottish based players like Scott Severin

I stopped reading there.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

He would get into any top XI from the SPL era

When everyone is fit I would play a 352

We don't have 2 good proper CBs, so just play one and play 2 tall FB/CB hybrid players beside him, as we have 2 guys there who would fit that role perfectly.

Our 2 best players are attacking left backs, so let's get them more involved as wing backs and let's play both of them, we can experiment with each at RWB, I'm sure at least one of them is capable.

Brown anchoring the midfield with Armstrong ahead of him.

Burke and Snodgrass alternating between AM and just off the striker.

Griffiths up top as at least he scores goals.

Like you I flicked the match on and off and the whole occasion just summed it up. The anthems in an empty stadium etc.

Scotland have always been a huge disappointment in my lifetime and apart from one campaign back in 2008 was it? It's just a pure drag.

The Euros was boring although admittedly the World Cup in Brazil was very good. I think it seems more meaningful to the South American sides.

Even if Strachan goes, who realistically comes in? Who would want the job. Surely this will be his last campaign one way or another, the fact he started Chris Martin last night just sums him up.

If he does go I'd give the job to McCinnes

Despite Griffiths lack of playing time for Celtic this season he should be first pick from the list of strikers available!

What's the big deal about this lad Burke? Everytime I see him he's rotten. Just fast. Ritchie will be back in the team on Sunday, he's a good player

Would hope Tierney is at left back and not right back, same for Robertson, would be unfair on either to play at right back when they probably never have done so before..

McCinnes wouldn't touch the Scotland job

I would appoint Jim Duffy.

Some of the best international managers around the world weren't top players or even coaches at the highest level. It is more important that you are the right sort of manager, with the right temperament and proficient in tactics and coaching rather than team building.

Let's forget about who the top rated manager we could attract is (we already tried that with Vogts), and instead let's think about the qualities we want then appoint the right guy regardless of his reputation in the game. That's what we done when we appointed Brown and Roxburg, and they are still the last two managers to get us to finals.

Possibly not FG but it would be my choice anyway.

we need a whole revamp from top to bottom, we aint gonna qualify again and its the same old players failing

Mulgrew, Berra, Brown, Fletcher, etc all need to quit International football

I know Brown is our best midfielder at present but I think he will down tools again

Cairney, McLean, Mackay, Henderson, McGregor, Jack all need to come in soon imo

Cairney as a regular I meant to add

If Darren Fletcher starts on Sunday I'm turning the TV off.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

He WILL start because Strachan made the ridiculous decision of making him captain

The cvnt slows everything down to a snails pace an offers zero in creativity. A dead jersey

Think you're right there Silver.

Still , it's better he does that in this game instead of our league games. Get it out of his system.

Hopefully
