Quite why the OP has Carrick in a team for next season quite beggars belief.
Once again we're going into the next transfer window with more questions than answers.
Honestly, you could make a case for a fair few players (Shaw,Martial,Ibra) who's time at the club is still uncertain.

If Griezmann does join you guys, who'd you think will be the victim? You've got so many forward players you'd think at least one would leave.
I have a feeling it'll be Mata
It is paramount that the upcoming TW is the one we (finally) identify a Carrick replacement, whether someone of similar ilk or not.
when we had Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney, part of the reason we were so good was because all three had the ability to play anywhere across that front three.
people mention Zlatans goals this season, but noone has been afforded the chance to compete.
playing three across the line who can interchange will more than likely result in goals for everyone rather than relying on ibra.
Probs like
Mkhitaryan New DM Pogs New winger
Griez
Ibra
Griezmann and Ibra may play in a front two.

We do need a proven goalscorer which Griezmann is. Ibra has been good but he can't do it on his own
----------------------------------------------------------------------
tbf, mkhi and martial were proven goalscorers too, martial in the PL.
I don't really watch Spanish football anymore, so can't really comment on his best position.

simple, replace Zlatan with Griezmann .
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That makes sense, to be honest I assumed that's why Zlatan was being linked to the US.
Buying Griezmann for what is likely to be a world record fee (or certainly close) and then shoving him out wide to accommodate Zlatan doesn't seem like a good idea to me. PSG tried it with Cavani, didn't really work for them either.
Anyone think you'll give Zlatan another year and buy Griezmann the year after?

It depends who his partner is and the other players in the side. Pogba and Carrick in a two, no. Pogba and say, Kante, yes.
I would be surprised if we have a interchangeable front 3 next season, very surprised.

Exactly. It goes against everything Jose looks for in a striker.

Hello Ed.
Yo, I'd be so happy if Man Utd had those three next season. It would be Real Madrid level of stars.

the majority of teams play with 3 in midfield, even with Kante Utd would struggle.
for all his pros Pogba tracking back isnt one of them.
Teams would just play the ball around us.

Depends who we play. A midfield two against the smaller sides and a three in the bigger ones.
People still seem to have this idea that Kante is a DM workhorse type, i'm not sure why he would work with Pogba... His last two CM partners are/were Matic and Drinkwater, neither of which leave his side much.

True but there have been examples this season where Kante has been in a midfield two with Cesc and done all the workhorse stuff - away at City for example and it worked well.
Kante and a defensive winger either side of pogba and he'd be fine in a midfield 2.
It's all horses for courses anyway, as someone has mention above.... 3 man midfield for some games, 2 man for others. (and 1 man midfield, with 6 defenders for when we are 2-0 up at Middlesbrough)
