It is fair. They monopolize the league the same way United did in the 90's, only natural to expect nothing less than 1st when you do that.

Madrid's direct rivals have better and at least on par players in comparison to themselves, not the case with Bayern.

Flash , that is as close an assessment as you could make when talking about the Bundesliga,and Bayern Munich.

As for RM and Ronaldo,which Ronaldo do you mean,if you mean Ronny from the Galacticos era ,I would hazard a guess,and say that the Madrileños enjoyed the times of portly Ronny, and his pals Figo,Beckham,Zidane, Roberto Carlos etc etc ,more than at any time since.

The money wasn't about in the 80's though...Liverpool only used about 15-18 players a season, & stuck to a winning formula...maybe the exceptions were Keegan & Dalgleish as marquee buys
