Anything based around CGI, superheroes, werewolves, zombies, etc.
Anything without a good plot and dialogue, which is actually about 98% of FILMS (not movies, we are in UK)
proscued these days.

Troll Hunter is good (subtitled though), maybe too good to fit the OP. Can choose to have it in badly dubbed English though on the DVD which may increase the crappyness.

Yep, 2nd one was awful but ST3 is well worth a watch, even if it's only to see Marnette Patterson in uniform

yeah I love Starship Troopers. Love Verhoven. Watched it recently, but have never watched any of the sequels. They sound like they fit the bill.

Kung Fu Hustle is a good call. That and Shaolin Soccer are pretty good.
