I don't know what Scotland will be like if it gains independence.
But I do know what it will be leaving behind;

Wars for oil/power.
An underfunded and failing NHS.
The Tories.
Extortionate MP expenses claims.
Corruption.
Food banks.
One million Scots living in poverty.
The bedroom tax
The horrific Fit for work process.
Nukes parked 20 miles from Glasgow.
Having our Oil money stolen by Westminster.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It won't happen whilst Jimmy krankie is leading the way with the SNP

There's nothing to say an independent Scotland would be welcome in the EU
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that has to be explored but at this stage you are correct
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be explored

Whit

They have had a decade to get a definitive ...but they cant or havnt or have but don't want to say..

Last time was it even a issue
Did the SNP tell us we would be out with no idea of when/if we would ever get back.

You might be forgiven if you were to think its all just opportunism

Duke. Utter pash from you.

"Wars for oil/power. Is there a better reason?"

Ffs
Maybe defending your country, family, stopping tyranny..?

I used to think you were intelligent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
it was a question you gave an answer

I made you think

Now come up with a worse reason?

And while Im here

Controlling oil means you can keep your family warm run your family about in your car

Taking control of oil starves the tyranny of wealth they may use to destroy your family..

None of this matters

We could be half as rich as a country, but if we stop funnelling the wealth to the top 1% then the other 99% of us will still be better off.

Yeah, I'm glad the USA stepped in when they did, or Saddam would have conquered Scotland within weeks with his WMDs and Magic Dragons.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
why would it have to be Scotland

This seems to be the way of it now

The Separatists couldn't give a flying fek what happens else where.
Kids dying all over the place

But as long as its not in Jockyland all is OK.

Scottish Natzist Pary right enough...

Were all right Jock

Duke

Why didn't the USA go into Rawanda or Yemen or any number of other countries where children are murdered every day and genocide was happening?

Are the USA protecting the people of Gaza..?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well like you I dont know.

But if I was betting guy (which Im not) I would say it was about controlling oil and the wealth it brings.
So those places are not on the map in that respect

Correct.

It's about oil, wealth and power and NOT stopping the murder of innocents.

Thanks for finally admitting that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
like I said I don't know.

But is it not better you have some/all control over the wealth it brings rather than some lunatic dictator.

Plus you get to drive your car.

And its not something you or I could admit to anyway

Yeah, going to war to secure oil and NOT to stop the killing of kids makes me feel nice when I'm driving my car.

How's Iraq, Libya and Syria looking these days?
Tyrants.

FFS

Rule Britannia.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure how they are doing to be honest.

The news is all about daft wee Jocks wanting braveheart.

You like us all have no choice but to take the benefits given by the control of oil.

You might say you don't like how it was gone about but you still turn your heating up in the winter. ,

And Im not sure why you are trying to make an argument out of this.

We agree
The middle east interventions were about oil and wealth.

Though given even the dumbest ass knows that, then we can hardly get a pat on the back for that.

You guy's going to join us and England in a Northern European league with the Scandinavian countries, a lot of merit in this idea, one Ireland, one Scotland one England (plus wee England (Wales)) the Vikings, telling ye it's the way to go, I have consulted my whiskey and it says yesssss

Being a frequent frequenter of the Republic of Ireland, I can say that independence ain't that big of a deal. Yeah, a lot point to the ROI having money troubles when they first went solo....But apart from the dip in local TV quality...People still spent money to live...Still worked, still payed rent and drove their cars...

Yer average bloke on the street never got humped worse than he already did by the brits. And hence forth, those in the ROI are happy where they are in the world.

This one might go through in Scotland because the rich folk are scared of the exit plan....But all in all...If it happens, life will be pretty much the same tbh.
