When I walk past houses outside rugby park and there's a bunch of guys sat in a living room all kitted out watching a game on the box when the actual thing is happening in real life less than 200 yards from them you know the games a bogey.

five from me and can't disagree with any of that.
but, here lies the problem and that i'd dispute how big Rangers and Celtic are.
In the UK Rangers are one of the biggest supported clubs and fan bases and with a following in Hong Kong, Singapore, down under and in north america but as accounts show we do not benefit from such popularity as to the prem clubs..
strips are not being sold and despite having rangers tv, just how many people are tuning in outside of the UK?
You could say the same with Celtic also, player sales have brought the club further forward than that of any major commercial deal other than the champs league.
Asia is a crazy market and sadly i do not except any excuse that we as a nation are poor.
The men that ran our game since i can remember have failed massively.
do we have expat academies by the SFA? nope they are playing catch up domestically.
wasted 50 mill on hampden and in typical Scottish fan we sit with a begging bowl at boardroom level when in negotiations with tv companies.
the prem and english championship are unreal in comparison to any league in the world and we have to stop comparing despite financial disparity.
until investors invest in clubs we won't get a better deal i'm afraid.
Look at what happened with Setanta when we did try to tell Sky to get tae. Half of the clubs in the league went into financial difficulty when Setanta went up the spout and rather than even matching what they had originally offered, Sky lowballed their offer to resume coverage and have been lowballing us ever since.
I haven't had a Sky Sports subscription in years now because of it and also ditched the rest of their TV package when it became clear that they were using those subs to prop up the EPL.
Sky has pumped football altogether and it will take decades to put right, if it ever happens.
