I don't know in about a year or two sign hom back for 150m

posted on 11/4/17

I haven't watched him this season, but isn't he having a similar season to the one he had before we signed him? I have a feeling he's at a club that's about his level. If he was to move, maybe an Everton type of club would be after him. I think he'd prefer to stay in London though, and that was partly a reason why he didn't make it with us.

I think the difference is that he is doing it against the bigger sides and regularly too.

Easily. It's a clever tactic buy us, identify and buy talent, then sell them for cheap to a team in a city that can increase urban appeal, then buy back for 100m. Who needs the loan system? #LoadsOfMoneyEd

When on form he's a exciting player to watch.
May not be the biggest name but he gives his fans some entertainment atleast.

I'd happily have him at Liverpool.

Nohlman

He made Hazard the player of the year. Your point is hokum

As for Martial,he needs to meet the manager halfway. He is being given the chances by the manager but he isn't taking them.

He could become a United legend. But it's up to him if he wants it enough. Just as it was for Zaha.

He was linked with us in December, he looks like the kind of player klopp would like.

I'm still not sold on him, I'd like to see have a similar season or better next season before I believe that he's capable of making it at a bigger club.

United we Win - I agree with what you say about Martial. I was thinking the same about Depay, and was sad to see him go... that boy is a talent, but timing wasn't right, and in a couple years the big boys will be clamouring for his services, but we in this era of knee jerking and succumbing to short term thinking.
And I believe Jose is the right man to steady the ship. Sure it ain't gonna be pretty, but I'm taking a lot of pros over cons this season.
But If Arsenal finish above UTD, I will be devastated...

I think he would be a great addition to your attack

You will probably need some magic in there once Coutinho goes to Barca. Does he work hard off the ball?

Doubt pipco will move to Barca this summer. He won't get in there front line and the player he would be the replacement for at Barca in their midfield is iniesta, and he isn't as good as iniesta yet.

I think end of next season he will move on, particularly given we look like we might well have champions league football for next season.

In any case if and when he moves, if klopp is still the manager I think he will move for Max Meyer as the replacement.

I remember you calling him all sorts and questioning his attitude under Moyes rather than criticise Moyes incompetence.

Similar to your approach with Martial, rather than hold Jose responsible

And at the time I had justifiable reason to

Don't you understand how life works? You seem obsessed with holding people to account for previous opinions without accepting that situations change

For example if Martial doesn't buck up his ideas I wouldn't mind one iota if he was sold. If in 2/3 years after leaving us he clicks and is playing great stuff I would love to have THAT player with us.

I didn't want the Zaha of 2013 playing for us. I do however like the 2017 version

Sometimes players have to leave a club like United to flourish. We all hope Martial does with us. But some of us think he has less chance than others do

You're a strange one Tiddles

Sometimes you can be quite sensible and reasonable. A credit to the Liverpool board. Other times you can go for the populist vote and become quite snide

Hmm

I very clearly said that doesn't sound like something you'd do robb.

See the key is communication, gotta listen.

No robb you give the player adequate chances. The model of selling every player after few bad months of form for a new shiny toy is not sustainable on the pitch and off it. We won't ever have cohesion in our side. What happens if the new signing struggles? Do we then sell him? There is a reason Ferguson never did this! Even the likes of Nani were given time. Martial deserves time. If we end up with a completely new attack again, we will do nothing next season and will be another transitional one and if those players fail, then it's, wasted money again. For me the glazers need to force the managers to manage the resources and tighten the purse strings, so that we can be more innovative in the market, with the manager being forced to manage the players without the temptation of the cheque book and thus give players chances.

Not a fan of irony are you?

Well yeah. If you vehemently give your opinion which then turns out to be wrong to then just change it you won't get much respect.

That's how life works Robb.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Does It?

So in this example I think Zaha is a waster in 2013 which most agree with and he goes off into what we think will be football obscurity but then he works hard and becomes a much better version of himself 4 years later and I recognise how hard he worked and give him a shout out in an article.

How is that weird?

posted on 11/4/17

I didn't say it was weird but if you do it repeatedly, ergo move the goalposts, most days that's what'll happen.
