Heaton >>>>> Foster

Accordig to stats: Heaton by far is the best keeper in the league, not only does he have the highest save percentage, he plays in one of the worst defences in premierleague history only with Sunderland having a worse one.
77.2% save percentage and 122 saves already. Burnley should statistically be pretty much relegated now if it wasn't for Heaton heroics.

No Hafi...bad Hafi!

This isn't a statement based thread!

By your summary Pickford should be ahead of Heaton, and doesn't state how many saves are routine ones.

Opinions only please.

Vertonghen, Walker, VVD, Luiz, Azpi would have to be front runners.

Seems a bit harsh to have no Utd defenders when they have the second best defensive record in the league.

As a unit the backfour have done well without any great outstanding individual.Nothing bad with that, though.

Have high hopes for Bailly, though.Looks promising.

Valencia has been outstanding - he's been superbly consistent.

Maybe he's had two poor games all season. The rest have been somewhere between solid and excellent.

Playing the way Mourinho sides do makes it easier on defenders but far harder on attackers.

I'm not sure United's defenders have been particularly great this season they've just had the luxury of playing in a very defensive set up that offers them a lot of protection.

Scruttocks lol Mourinho can't be defensive as most teams just park the plane every game against us and hope for 1 shot on target and 1 goal. I honestly think 11-12 side and 99-00 side are the only sides as attacking as this Man Utd side.

We are playing nearly at the same level as Mourinho Real Madrid side that scored record goals but being the worst big chance finishers in the league killed us. I think if you swapped Man Utd with Chelsea conversion rates Man Utd would get around a 40 goal swing in our favour.

Most often we've played with a midfield three, with one central holding midfielder (usually Carrick or Herrera) who has sat just in front of the back four when our fullbacks attack.

I'm not saying we haven't gone defensive in the big games against the other top PL sides; we have. But I'm guessing you haven't watched us much against the bottom half sides.

Of our defenders this season, who have contributed much to our excellent defensive record, Valencia has comfortably stood out above the rest, including DDG.
