"He came back to Spurs and spent a season in the wilderness before Poch came along and gave him his chance and he became a regular.
Kane was nowhere until Poch came along, who were predicting that Kane would be where he is now back then?"
Not entirely true he played 19 times for us the season before poch came scoring 4 times so already broke though into the first team squad ( basically what Winks done this season )
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not many of those 19 games were starting though.
Next season Poch joins the club and Kane makes another 31 appearances and scores 31 goals, wins young player of the year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
8 starts with with 6 being the last 6 games of the season scoring 3 goals.
Poch def bought his game on but to say Kane was no where isn't true.

Really c'mon now. Kane has come onto a different level under Pochetinno.
If you asked Kane now - what has made more of an impact to your career - Your loan at Millwall or Pochetinno at Spurs
What would his answer be?
Just read that article and can't see anyone laughing at you in fact plenty had us in top 4 ( not me had us 5th ) and Tbh I'm not sure what any of that got to do with this?
Seriously clutching at straws with the 'I was right before and I'll be right again' retort.
As for Tammy Abraham and his "wasted" loan spell, clearly all his training at Chelsea and then observations from the sidelines watching the likes of Hazard wasn't the seemingly guaranteed path to the first team

Chelsea don't promote first teamers though they buy them.
Imagine if Chelsea had bought Dele Alli, he would probably be playing for Utrecht or similar in the Dutch league.

Bought his game on is the same as taking up a level.
You said he was nowhere which was incorrect, he was 19/20 made 8 starts and 19 appearances.
Loan > squad player > Main player > World class
Poch is excellent I can't see one comment on here suggesting anything different.
Here we are talking about a player that hasn't been able to breakthrough and infact gone backwards in terms of playing time and now has maybe 5 or 6 players a head of him making it even more difficult next season.
Now we have two options:
1, Carry on how it's been getting maybe 5/10 mins a month in first team but getting coached by poch and playing with our class players
2, Send him on loan where he can get 20+ games under his belt gaining experience but under different coaching ( although hopefully we pick a team with similar style to ours )
Now there's plus a minus for both but IMO at his stage right now number 2 makes more sense than number 1.
Number 1 makes sense for the lot coming through underneath him like Sterling, KWP & Edwards as the are a year or two behind Onomah.
CCV is different as there's less players ahead of him and his position you come in at a older age.
Also stop taking it so personal. You have expressed an opinion that multiple others disagree with and as a forum will be discussed about.

Ake in particular had an amazing loan stint at Bournemouth earning rave reviews and getting called back to become a important member of the squad

I believed we had players and a coach as good as if not better than what the two Manchester clubs and Liverpool were bringing in.
Your like a pack of wolves all ganging up.
I really hope I'm proved right again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are the one who got the bee in your bonnet about criticising Poch to be fair Dont Cry
You are talking to people who think he needs a loan - of course we are going to be broadly agreeing with eachother.
For every good player that has gone straight in to the first team at a top club, there is one who benefitted from a loan spell first. All it shows is there is not a one-size-fits-all policy. Some are better without some are better with.
We happen to agree a player who only got 26 minutes of PL and European football last year, has not particularly impressed in his starts in the minor cups, and whose favourite position of CM is probably the most physically demanding positions on the pitch, is one of those players a loan would benefit.
Plenty of top players have talked of a loan spell as character building. Lampard at Swansea. Rio and Defoe at Bournemouth. Beckham at Preston.
I'll have to stop posting on here. I'm probably too long in the tooth and passionate about my views.
