How Good Can Rashford Be?

Has Iheanacho even played much this season ?

I think he will be a United legend. On the level of the class of 92,maybe higher.

I've been impressed with him recently, last season / early this season I wrote him off as a bit o a kick and rush pace merchant who's probably better out wide, but the way he's improving his game so quickly think he's going to the top. His close control is better, he's filled out, out on muscle, shoulders defo broader than that skinny caaaant who came onto the scene last season. He's improved his long range shooting so he's now a threat from more than 15 yards out, and taken reposnbility on set pieces too.

Only if he contributes to teams who win the big trophies.

He's a good player though needs to be played as a central striker.

Agree with most of this. Last season his finishing seemed to better, though.

He does need to play up front, as kneerash says. Only way he will fulfil his potential.

The beauty of Rashford is that his strengths are things that are impossible or very difficult to coach (intelligence, movement, pace, dribbling). His finishing is one thing that can be coached.

I have high expectations for him.

has Iheanacho been injured? the theory was going into this year that rashford wouldn't get the minutes but its been the other way round

think the next 5weeks will decide weather we start rashford up top next year and let ibra go, 9 matches minimum left, if he can get 4-5 goals while leading the line well then I think we let zlatan go, dnt think it matters if we get top 4 in that as well as long as were winning europa

He could become very good indeed. Suspect mbappe has a higher ceiling, but rashford is a superb prospect.

Very true, his natural ability takes him very far. Very good head on him too. Works hard on the pitch as well as having all the other redeeming features.

Mbappe seems a much more composed finisher than Rashy, from what I've seen of him in the CL. Rashford has the potential to become a top footballer though. He's a great crosser of the ball too, which doesn't seem to be mentioned much on here.

He's better than a good player. I've seen many talents come through the ranks, and believe its possible to spot the real thing. George, Scholes etc. I put him there, up there with Scholes, maybe higher.

The most impressive thing about him for me is that he doesn't give up. Even if things aren't going as well as he'd like, he keeps going. High hopes for him.

He was v good against us, and now I think he has everything needed to make it as a top CF. He seems someone willing to learn and improve on everything in his game

If we play him in his right position, he has the skillsets to go on to be a top striker.

Work rate, speed, quick feet, quick brain, cool head (in the box), invention, link up. He really has it all.

Mbappe is class, but he is also the flavour of the month. Rashford and Martial have both looked equally comfortable in front of goal (Liverpool, City etc...)

Mbappe is the player on form right now.

Said this from day 1. Something special about him, as much mentally as his ability.

Will have to see how Mbappe does next year. Impressive this year, but next year we will see if he can keep this form up.

It's weird how we play better with Rashford up front, rather than Ibra as well. As good as Ibra is, Rashford just changes the way he play completely. Think we can see the best of Pogba when Rashford plays as well

I think Rashford has the same kind of wow factor that Owen had at the same age.

When he's on the pitch he can do anything imo. Take players on. Create something out of nothing. Smash the ball in from outside the area. He has it all.

Pogba has always performed better where there is movement uptop.Gives him more options.
Hopefully we'll bring in a forward who continues to give him those options.
Hell, even Vardy would work well with Pogba.

I'm hopeful Jose trusts Rashford up top next season. I know many think he isn't ready, but how is he ever going to be ready without football?

We'd need to buy somebody to replace Ibra and Rooney, but that could easily be a £20m striker rather than a £60m one.

I'd rather invest in quality wide players so we don't have to keep shoehorning players into the side. I said the same last summer though, and I can understand Joses reluctance to rely on a 19 year old he doesn't know.

His attitude will take him as far as he wants to go, because he has the natural ability and the intelligence.

Fantastic player, very inconsistent still though but that will change with age hopefully. I love how good he is at running the channels, the highlight of the Chelsea game for me was when he had the ball with no support on the right wing, Kante came to try and tackle him and arguably the best tackler in the league didn't even come close to getting the ball off him.

I don't believe he is a player you want to lead the line though as you wont get the best out of him, sort of playing off a front man is what he would excel at.

Top 2 of Rashford & Kane hopefully will excel for England.

His pass to Rash last night was brilliant. The kind of thing we need more of. Our skillset isn't applicable to controlling possession and breaking teams down.

Players like Mkhi, Pogba, Rashford and Mata all suit quicker football.

I'm certain Jose will bring in one of Lukaku or Griezmann this summer.

I just hope that Jose rotates more and gives Rashford around 25-30 starts up top.

But don't underestimate how useful Rashford playing left has been. It's given him key game time and improved his all round game. Far better playing on the left than not playing at all.
