Gary Neville said as much during the game
---------------
Really? I specifically remember Nev criticising him for being clumsy
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Gary Neville said two things I remember

1) that he was doing a great job nullifying Barnes
2) Blind and Rojo would thank him for making their job easier today

Exactly blooded.

He fouled because he's too slow. And he's clumsy. He's not even a good passer so he's useless in midfield.

He has one use and that's being thrown on for last 20 when we need to go direct. That's it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sigh.

You obviously know nothing about Fellaini nor watched him against Chelsea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Went to the game sunshine. More than you ever do.

And Herrera bosses that game. Where your praise for him? 6or7 stood out vs Chelsea before fellaini. He was decent too but by no means our best.

Think you must be in love with him. Never known a utd player more disliked by our match going fan ever.

Some people will always like the crap players though. Sigh.

Herrera had plenty of praise.

But you're the one saying Fellaini is useless in midfield when he was a key player in that Chelsea game. Where was your praise for him?

It is amusing how much you wanted Jose yet still have no idea about what he wants in his players and why Fellaini plays every week

You're talking about Fellaini being clumsy

I'm talking about Fellaini deliberately fouling him. Gary Neville knew exactly what Fellaini was tasked with doing. Go read what Wenger said that I posted.

All of thee dark arts are practiced by Jose and he would have gotten Fellaini back in the changing room at half time and said well done

..........
but but you blamed LVG before as we nullified the opposition attacks before they got at our defence.

It has nothing to do with what Wenger said. You are talking about fellaini deliberately making stupid fouls which put the team in danger, and how he is under instruction to do this from the manager. It is just a nonsensical argument

Robb has blind faith with Mourinho, Fellaini and Lukaku.

posted on 23/4/17

Robb is spot on

people just assume Fellaine to be trash and interpret whatever he does as rubbish just as other club fans now term Herrera as Jose thug.

Pogba, no matter how hard he put in an effort, rival fans will also come up with the price tag excuse for him to always score an hatrick every game else he's overrated.

As long as Jose remained, Fellaine will be here. simple

love him or hate him

Fellaini's fouls are not committed in dangerous situations. Today, a number of them were in completely harmless areas where there was no danger. All they did was give one of the best set piece takers in the league to swing a ball into our box.

You trying to tell me that this is a deliberate tactic from our manager is one of the most bizarre arguments I've heard from you to be honest. And that is saying something.
======================

Correct. I was getting annoyed at the number of needless fouls we were giving away because Burnely's only real threat all game was from Brady's dangerous deliveries and we kept gifting the opportunities to put the ball into good areas.

I thought Fellaini has a very decent 2nd half and has been in decent form the last few games, but gifting a good set piece team free-kicks was not Mourinho's plan and Fellaini needs to be wiser in these moments.

how does those fouls put the team in danger if its in an area not necessary according to your first reply?

Deserved praise, but shouldn't come as a shock. He was arguably our most consistent player under van Gaal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It shouldn't be a surprise for anyone because he started the season brilliantly alongside Bailly.

They make a good partnership.

What?

A player facing his own goal 40/50 yards from goal is not in a dangerous position.

When you foul him and give Liam Brady the opportunity to put a ball onto the head of Burnley's CBs, it becomes dangerous.

Not rocket surgery really

I mean Robbie Brady of course

Did I just read some idiot saying Fellaini commits these ridiculous fouls under Jose's orders?

posted on 24/4/17

There was nothing tactical or clever at all about some of the fouls Fellaini gave away in the first half.

Some of the fouls he and a few others committed did nothing but provide a side who are dangerous from set plays their most likely route back into the game. Not something José would've been pleased about.

As for Ashley Barnes being creative.

He's a lump. There to be a nuisance for defenders, to provide a physical presence and a focal point in attack for Burnley to feed off.

Fellaini did a decent job of nullifying him I guess although it wasn't as if it was Drogba he was up against.

the sh!t people say on here... tactical fouls...

Blind has been good for us. shame he hasn't played more. Can't understand why Darmian gets the nod ahead of him at LB. He's useless...

Blind looked very rusty thurs but was back to his composed self yesterday. Good performance!
