At the moment I'm going with Wlad for a few reasons. Just think that he's been here many times before. AJ hasn't, this level is totally new to him.

Also people saying that Wlad is a shot fighter based on the Fury fight. Maybe he is. Or maybe Fury just fought a great fight that night and he hasn't been given the full credit he deserves for it.

I'm inclined to believe it's more of the latter even if Wlad didn't look good against Jennings either.

1st time in a while wlad will be going in against someone who pretty much the whole crowd will be behind, think it will a cagey start, can understand why the odds are so wide because i can see it going either way, hopefully a Joshua ko

When this fight was announced I thought it's too soon for AJ and that Wlad would have too much experience.

I thought Wlad would control the distance through the jab, wait for AJ to punch himself out and then take over in the second half for a points win or late KO.

I've reconsidered slightly due to re-watching parts of the Fury fight and also recalling the Jennings fight. Wlad was so far off the pace in both and whilst a case can be made that Fury made him look bad, Jennings I just don't buy.

Wlad is 41 years old and his last good performance was in 2014. I've watched some of the promotional programmes on sky and whilst the hype on AJ was predictable, I've been more interested in Wlad. He says the right things about being motivated, focused, training hard and being obsessed with reclaiming the belts, but it just doesn't feel authentic to me. I'm just not sure I believe it.

So who's my money on? AJ. Not with any confidence but this fight essentially comes down to whether Wlad is past it or not and right now I believe he's past it slightly more than I believe he's got his mojo back.

Wlad I mean he has always been in great shape but at 41 he looked in unbelievable shape. Joshua comes in at his career heaviest. I know both are/hav been juicing at some point but still are both pure specimens!

Heart says Josh but my head is telling me Wlad much just time him.

Not certain tho Wlad might just fear pulling the trigger in fear of being countered but he is deadly at controlling range and catching people when they make mistakes.

Fury due to his size and mobility could negate the range hence a fairly easy fight. Joshua so far hssnt shown he can do that. But if joshua catches anyone clean they are gone.

Wasn't overly hyped bout this fight when it was made but I am. It's not at the level of Brook v Spence. But just eager to see it now!

Such a casual thing to say but who cares...there is nothing like the heavyweights!

How is this fight not at the level of Brook V Spence?

It's actually a number of levels above Brook V Spence

I think Brook and Spence are both better technical boxers is all..I know it doesn't really translates thro the weights because power becomes more critical the higher in weight u move up.

Also due to mass. Muscle etc the hw don't have the same speed, movement and stamina as lower weights.

Doesn't matter still a huge fight can't weight. Hope both fighters do themselves justice. As boring as Wlad can be and later on his style became less interesting with the grappling n all but he will be retiring soon and he deserves massive plaudits..I hope if he loses the crowd give him the respect he is due

Just watched a short bit of footage of the stand off. After the antics of Fury, Chisora, mouth of Haye and all that crap do you think these two are boring or is it a welcome return to sportmanship after a spate of idiots?

I think these two are way too pally with each other to be honest. Let's if they're still bosom buddies when one of them gets chinned.

Given Joshua's past with minor criminal offences and a drug conviction I think its a good choice from him to be the clean cut respectful boxer he appears to be. Shows he has learned from his past and he is a good role model for young people turning his back on that lifestyle.

Nobody saying he shouldn't be clean cut.

It's going to be interesting, the perceived wisdom in boxing is that you need to be brash, boastful and a showman to make the big money. AJ wants to be the first boxing billionaire but he's not any of those things. Not yet anyway.
