It certainly was refreshing to see a HW title bout that wasn't heavily mismatched or settled on points. Probably the best since Lewis v Vitali.

Awesome fight. Best one in years.

Great result too. Joshua ending it emphatically, looking every inch the Monster Among Men.

Ffs I just came back from the gym and suddenly everyone claiming they always backed AJ whilst the females are fawning over his physique. Bloody peasants.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wlad has a better figure than AJ anyway. Both physical specimens though.

AJ looked a lot bigger than I have seen him in previous fights. His arms looked huge and every time Wlad attempted to hold, AJ swatted him away with ease.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep noticed that too. AJ's arms were huuuuge!

At the weigh-ins, AJ's shoulders were as wide as waist. Klit was more defined: broader shoulders in relation to his much narrower waist.

Towards the latter rounds, AJ was actually doing most of the holding.

I think Wlad was too tired to even hold in the last few rounds. At no point did he even try due to sheer exhaustion. He fought a smart fight but one that his 41 year old body couldn't fully implement.

I've also seen some comments regarding Wlad not going for the kill when he had AJ hurt but what must be understood is that AJ has already dropped Wlad earlier. Wlad was rightfully wary of a big counter from AJ and at that instance, being surgical was the option that was the most auspicious.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
AJ's legs were like Bambi for 3 rounds

I'd have knocked him sparko if i was in there and went for it

and i'm 43, 5ft 10 and 12 and half stone

Wlad only has himself to blame for last night

AJ could sneeze on you and you'd crumple.

@ 'BMI'. Is there a more flawed system for determining general health and well-being?

It's a shame Klitschko isn't 5 years younger....the heavyweight division would be an amazing prospect right now had he been.

Fury, wilder, Joshua, Wlad. All contrasting styles and personalities. Id bet that non would beat all 3 of their opposition either.

The only thing Fury is contesting just now is the courts for his drug use and mental health services over his section.
