That is true but losing games can sometimes breed a losing mentality.

It's very rare to lose one than win one then lose one and cultivate any consistency

Sounds much better than the reality

The 5 million pound question is whether a run of draws is better or worse than wins with a loss here and there. That's really a highly debatable point, above my pay grade certainly. You could pull stats all day, but how do we know what motivates our players? Were these draws merely making the team accept parity as being acceptable, or would a strapping defeat given us the kick in the rear to invoke real passion? Wish I had an answer, you could call me Messiah if I did. I lean towards the side of the former, because we seem to lack any passion to fight for a win, something I saw for a brief time earlier in the season, like the good old Fergie Time days where the extra time was all ours!
