Both tactics well done, LC still finding some hidden gems, Spurs lacking a bit in the wide areas imo, both with a bit to do still but its early

Brentford v Chelsea

Chelsea likely to control most games and with the extra man in midfield, they had majority of possession. I thought Brentford’s tactics were good though, and would surprise Chelsea overloading in certain areas. Both sides are very physical through middle which made a good battle, but Chelsea were well balanced and had more quality overall and with control of game thought they’d get and take more chances.
At home with game plan gave Brentford a very good chance, subs went to Fan - Welshy your subs could be more exciting, good replacements but especially against Chelsea good to have a plan!

Villa vs United

United have a good mix of pace and power, width and quality. Quality wise relatively even, a couple easy wins where Utd could improve for me, Kepa a weakness for Utd, a few Villa players for Villa but no McGinn? Luiz over Casemiro weird for me and in good form but not convinced by Konsa’s quality yet. Both teams have clear game plans. Both team have good subs, relatively even for spinner and draw it is.

Vlahovic(Salah)
MOTM - Verbruggen

Watford have a great deal of talent in their squad, but felt City had just a little more quality in there team, two good sets of tactics, Watford have a good selection of strikers to choose from and in Enciso a very dangerous No.10, but a very young defence who I fear may be exploited by some of the strikeforces in the league.

Leicester 2 - 1 Brentford
Osimhen(Foden), Musiala(Foden)
Openda(Szoboszlai)
MOTM - Foden

Much like Watford, Brentford have an array of talent, but again a pretty young backline, they have players to hurt you like Szoboszlai and Openda, but imo need a bit more back up, Leicester as per, have a great squad and imo favourites again to win the league so will always take something special to grab 3 points from them.

Newcastle 1 - 1 Spurs
Kane(Palmer), Messi(FK)
MOTM - Palmer

Newcaslte very dangerous going forward, Palmer, Kane and Son are a formidable trio with odegaard behind, however, Spurs back 3 will be very difficult to beat, LB for Newcastle needs n upgrade imo Spurs with a few changes but I like there midfield pairing, up front is a bit meh

Man Utd 0 - 0 Arsenal
MOTM - Lucas

a boring 0 - 0 for a change, think they pretty much vcancel each other out on the pitch, midfields both imo are pretty weak, some good players and when I say weak I dont mean bad players, just not really anyone that will get stuck in and do the meaty stuff sometimes required on a pitch, again imo. Some good foootball from both sides, just neither really penetrating a couple of sturdy defences

Chelsea vs Villa

Chelsea at home and had the quality so Villa didn’t have much of a chance from the off. I like the Villa balance, look hard to beat with two strong defensive cms and even likes of Silva has a great work rate.
Kayode vs Mbappe was a mismatch, looks a great talent and one of the very best young rbs around but had no chance. Chelsea’s keeper stands out as not being to quality as rest of team, and with Dias out thought Watkins could’ve done very well against the cbs and keeper.
Chelsea I saw winning - so I actually preferred Villa’s subs. Defensive subs from Chelsea invited pressure and with Villa attacking puts on back foot (midfielder on for striker I mean really rather than Kamara sub).

Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arsenal at home and have good tactics, but not convinced by some of the players in their roles - Cancelo a top top lb, but as a lwb/lm in an attacking game plan as only player to give the width don’t think he’s right fit (especially with no left footed cb in a back 3). Same with Stones in midfield. Otherwise liked mix throughout team and well balanced.
Overall Arsenal have quality throughout the team and no obvious weaknesses, including some top top players but Chelsea have slight upper hand as they usually will. Costa have said before could be improved on.
Chelsea good tactics, gameplan no points taken off but sounds like you turned up at wrong stadium as don’t think they played last week? I’d have thought would be Enzo orchestrating the play rather than Jude though, so a negative for me in that I thought he’d be further forward to get most out of him/Enzo/attackers.
Subs - gave Fan the slots here. Don’t like the bold move from Ludy to replace one of the best forwards in the world and his only forward with a midfielder. Thuram was likely coming on anyway, but still quality snd changes made preferred Chelsea’s.

Aston Villa 2-1 Leicester City
Watkins (pen) 78 - Foden 64 (Osimhen)
David 90 (B Silva) - Marquinhos red card 77
MOTM: Bernardo Silva

A close game, I felt Leicester were good value for the win, but the red card went against them, and then the lack of tactics in case of a red card also went against them, which for me had to result in Villa having more slots for tactics.

Sesko(Maatsen), Simons(Koopmeiners)
Gimenez(Bradley), Ferguson(Enciso)
MOTM - Koopmeiners

A very close game, Brentford improving a lot and LC still churning out these youngsters, some good strikers available to both, thought they would both get some joy

Leicester 1 - 0 Arsenal
Osimhen(Musiala)
MOTM - Valverde
A tough ask for Ludy to get anything at Leicester, a tough ask for anyone, Arsenal have a solid side, but Leicester are a tough side to break down, Valverde a fantastic addition to an already quality side, Arsenal will start picking up points soon

Man Utd 2 - 3 Newcastle
Boniface(Doku), Wirtz(FK)
Kane x 2, Palmer, (KDBx3)
MOTM - KDB

A very exciting Man Utd side, think could improve in certain areas, Newcastle a top class midfield imo and Kane will always get the goals, when you have a fit KDB on the pitch you will always get chances and who better to get them..

End to end game, both very fluid attacking sides, would make for a very entertaining game IRL. I can see both sides being in the running for Champions League qualification this season.

Chelsea 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Bellingham 55 (Diaby) - Salah 86 (Messi)
Pau Torres 81 (Professional Foul)

*Suspension to apply next game week

One of those days for Chelsea, would have struggled a little against the very strong Spurs back five, but eventually broke through and would see out the win. Until the red card went against them, and against 10 men, the Spurs attack (I mean, it's Messi and Salah, what can you do) were able to force an equaliser. Side note, Spurs didn't have any "in case of red card" instructions but fortunately for them it didn't matter.

Newcastle pluck out the win here to end Chelsea's unbeaten start to the season. Chelsea edge the form slots but Newcastle get the home slots. The injuries to Chelsea's top players the gamechanger here as Newcastle take advantage.

Brentford 1 - 1 Arsenal
Zirkzee(Kubo)
Lautaro(Odegaard)
MOTM - Stones

A fair amount of changes for both sides, both full of quality and very good tactics, felt they pretty much nulified each other, Stones and Guehi doing well to stop the threat of Lautaro for most of the match

Man City 2 - 3 Spurs
Salah(Grimaldo), Araujo(Grimaldo)
Vlahovicx2(Leoa, Mac Allister), P.Neto(Leao)
MOTM - Grimaldo

Again good set ups but think both can be got at, especially out wide, great going forward, both sides hence the 5 goal thriller

Leicester 2 - 2 Newcastle

A vastly improving Newcastle will be a threat to anyone, and are the only unbeaten team left, had a real go at Leicester who as always were very good, it paid off with a very good away point

Aston Villa 2-1 Watford
----------------------- Ferguson 36 (Magno)
Watkins 53 (Luiz)
----------------------- Vanderlan 65
Chiesa 86 (Watkins)
MOTM: Verbruggen

A tough game to call, Watford's front four would trouble Villa at times, but the red card went against them. Villa eventually able to break down the stubborn Watford 4-4-1. I like Villa's side a lot but they definitely missed Bernardo Silva. On another day Watford get something out of this.

Chelsea 2-2 Manchester United
Mbappe 17 (Bellingham)
------------------------- Saka 24 (Frimpong)
Haaland 39 (pen)
------------------------- Boniface 49 (Saka)
MOTM: Saka

Chelsea would dominate large parts of this game, but the left side is a little vulnerable compared to the right (Colwill/Mendes not as strong as Hakimi/Dias, and Mbappe isn't one for tracking back) so I would see Man U getting a lot of joy with Frimpong at RWB and Saka as RW. I feel like the back three of Man U does well to combat the obvious threats of Mbappe and Haaland although not able to silence them all day. The rapid Van De Ven on the same side as Mbappe was very clever. Or lucky
