wish i had a bet on it at 100/1 now
No denying that it's a convenient excuse to hide match fixing behind though
Both just as cringeworthy for me and would say it no matter who the player or club.
I am all for people been celebrated for contribution to a club but not in the middle of a match!
Leave it to the end and show a bit of respect to the opposition.

This was the very first thing to cross my mind when I heard about people putting small bets on it, I had a massive ten-game PL accumulator on Sunday, didn't even think about what may happen with Terry.
As for the "outrage", the game was a dead rubber, a club icon was leaving so it isn't too horrendous tbh, as I said, being more creative with my betting is literally the only thing I'm taking away from it all.

spot fixing sort of comes under the same bracket just look at Cricket in the late 00's
I think that Chelsea should be deducted 6 points and Spurs awarded another 30 goals to their goal difference. It'll be more of a choker then.
#suckituphaters
What if they deduct 7 points ? .
I think there was a game in the 1974 World Cup where there was a minute's silence for someone, who had died, but it took place during a game. That of course was done with the ref's permission. This tribute appeared not to have gone through the ref, who probably would have said no to cover himself.
I am not suggesting Chelsea should be penalised as it was a dead rubber, but I wonder if anyone at Chelsea thought it might lead to a problem. Maybe as it happened with Drogba, maybe it was not thought about.
JT Another controversy though. Where's NPE?
soccer?lol.

That's what desperation does for you.
In all seriousness Spurs are here to stay in the forthcoming title battles, if they keep Poch and the core of this team it seems to me as if it's just a matter of time before they win something.
Listing the Norwich Hospital Charity Cup is desperation. Joint winners at that
soccer?lol.
Match fixing! FA looking into it!
It just goes to show how amazing Terry is because the jealousy is real

They've been there before with Bale and Modric. Levy has to pay up if he is to keep happy their key players.
Both just as cringeworthy for me and would say it no matter who the player or club.

As cringeworthy as parading players like Edgar Davids as a club legend at a leaving stadium bash!!
How long was he there - 40 games?
Are you that desperate for legends!!!

Both Advocaat (for Drogbas) and Moyes were informed pre match , if either objected the whole thing would have been scrapped.
I loved Shevchenko but I wouldn't dream of inviting him to an event like that!
40 games!
Returning, I think it's down to the ref as well. I have not heard whether he knew.
Brummie, I hear when you leave the Bridge, Winston ( 9 games in 4 years) Bogarde is going to be wheeled out
!!

You must have been reading my mind GUNNER. I was driving up to Tesco thinking who we could trot out, that would be as embarrassing.
Bogarde was the first that came to my mind
Mind you I must admit that even Davids wouldn't be that bad!
