I agree there but I think Verratti would enable us to perform better in Europe especially in the big away games. Hazard will more than likely be off in the next 12 months, Verratti would be here for the medium to long term.

I don't think he will be off.
Real Madrid will go for Mbappe over Hazard if they even need another attacker imo.
If Bales goes (which i don't think he will) then maybe.
I'm going to go against the majority and go for Verratti.
I don't think people realise how good he is. He's up there with Kroos, Modric and Iniesta for me.
He's been in the Ligue 1 TOTS every year. That's 5 years in a row.

Good thing Mertens is Belgian then.
From a United fans perspective I often feel you lack any real spark when Hazard is missing or isn't at it.
But Veratti doesn't fit Conte's ideal CM...someone who can destroy with no creativity required.

Conte wants his midfielders to work hard rather than destroy, He like all round midfielders who can destroy and create. Would you call Marchisio, Pirlo and Vidal destroyers? They're anything but. Verratti would fit our system perfectly.

I feel like Zoumas time is up at Chelsea, clearly by username I rate the lad highly but I'm not so sure Conte does, He's just not got the technical ability that Azpi and Luiz have to play in a 3 at the back system.
If Matic can continue his end of season form then he'll be useful for us with us having 50+ games next season. He's not the man to elevate us to be genuine CL competitors; Someone like Verratti would however be that man (hence my article yesterday)
