I didn't know Hockaday played for Barcelona, was top scorer in the Bundesliga, reached the last 16 of the Europa League with the Cypriot Champions last year? Come on now, give him a chance!
reeks of no transfer kitty, no money and the cheap way out.
To say I am underwelmed is an understatement.
But he has my support for now if it is him.
Has my total support hope he's a success, time will tell.
Here we go... What a joke.
ChildoftheJago2, zero appearances for Barcelona, but that's irrelevant anyway, this was the perfect opportunity to distance ourselves from the 'watermelon' mentality.
Side_before_self, obviously I'd be very happy to eat humble pie in a years time but I can't see it happening, feel free to elaborate though.

When you try to justify a manager by his playing career, you know you're reaching.
And he never made a league appearance for Barcelona.
He's our manager so give him a chance - can't see any other course that's sensible other than giving him our full support.
Obviously his second in command will be Clolet so lets give him a chance we are always too quick to criticise
I get the impression AR was sold on apoel
making it to last 16 of europa. I think they
beat atletico of two legs???
I'll give him my support, the same way I did Hockaday.
Season practically over. Will be happily proven wrong and i'll back him like Hockaday, but this stinks of cheap yes man bullsheet. Last seasons progress wasted
Rest of the football league will be laughing there heads off ..... AGAIN
It is not official yet ..................
Ok he never made an appearance, a good player doesn't make a good manager etc. etc. etc. - just though comparing him to a useless lump like Hockaday was unfounded. I wanted Frank de Boer, but the Spanish coaches didn't really grab me at all.
I just don't get the point in turning things sour before he's even been officially appointed. You can stew all you like for now - I might join you by September!

"On the 15th June 2017, Christiansen was announced as head coach of Leeds United, signing a 12-month rolling contract. Because he was cheap and could work in a DOF system."
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wow!!! This smells of Radz having no intention of splashing out on players. So underwhelming. By some miracle I hope it turns out a masterstroke and he spends up and this turkey delivers the goods.....although I don't believe it for a second

read that - if you want some form of slight happiness
I will say that I'm disappointed he's apparently on a 12-month rolling contract as it smacks of short termism and not really believing in the coach they've employed. It's a huge risk, but there are worse bullets that have been dodged here.
One got a Cypriot club into the last 16 of the Europa League
One got sacked after getting Forest Green Rovers relegated from the Conference.
Yes
Christian is EXACTLY the same as Hockaday.
Thank God someone else picked up on the ridiculous comparison. What chance does anyone have to prove themselves anymore? Should've just brought in SVEN!
I'm comparing my disappointment, anger, lack of excitement over the 2 manager announcements and it's almost on par. Particularly after last year, 7th is no achievement but it could have acted as a benchmark to kick on from. Only massive signings (starting with Bartley, which is very unlikely) will stop me turning up on Game 1 of 46 thinking it's going to be a loooong season - again.

I understand that, and he'll get my full backing too. But on the face of it this is a terrible appointment.
No championship experience. No English league experience at all.
Stinks of a cheap and disposable option.
Winning a joke league and getting blasted out in the last 16 of a competition nobody cares about, doesn't convince me.
