I'd still be tempted to add to the squad if funds are there. The signings will very likely be first picks but I wonder if there's enough depth.

Second should definitely be the aim. Push celtic as much as possible but unless things click unbelievably well the chances are pushing them and trying to get a cup would be a decent season.

I don't think we will reassess targets unless we start getting some more offers for players we don't need. We've not signed Dorrans and Walker because of the money they want

I also expect we'll bring in a player or two on loan towards the end of the window.

Think the early start should help the squad gel,can only help! Encouraging times

In the event we don't get Dorrans or Walker then yes a couple of loans may be added.

I think getting the squad down in size now becomes a priority

To be fair. Hearts are over charging because of who we are, and norwich because of the over inflated prices down south. When both were on the cheap were/are great options, but just because we can afford to pay that, doesnt mean we should. We might not get more for less elsewhere... but if we've got more than originally planned, we might get better.

You're better just putting the ball in the net than smashing the goalposts.

Anyway...well done rangers. A lot more transfer activity than I expected. Certainly makes the start of the season more exciting....let's be honest your team could be pretty good or absolutely dreadful...doubt if any of us are sure.

If he's referring to the present time, I'm not sure how he can say that. Three trophies, a 39 point gap and two 5-1 drubbings would suggest otherwise.

Exactly how bad did he expect rangers to be?

A vastly improved showing from last season with the season not being over by September would be a good start.
