In England under 21s last three games, everyone was dreary against Sweden in 1st game, Chalobah was better against Slovakia and with Gray and Chilwell one of our best yesterday but day cut short through injury. Hes a leader in that team, as one of the more experienced heads and against Slovakia especially thought he was one of the few players trying to instigate something.

Baker over last three games hasn't really gotten involved. Although he had a good Toulon tournament too often than not when I watch him for England youth he's just not there in general play. His passing is uninventive and touch isn't great, hasn't been able to make space for a good shot yet which is something he's good at, and free kicks are under JWP so hasn't been able to show anything there either.

Chalobah had three opportunities at Burnley, Napoli and Chelsea, i think it's safe to say he has found his level as a squad player.

Furthermore are we expected to give every youth player opportunities in the first team, like i said before if that's the only way we can find out if there good enough our coaches should be sacked. Also ill go a step further, don't i deserve a chance to play for Chelsea? I have never got tested at PL level either.

Youth players tend to get overhyped regardless of who you support, I find. People are desperate for them to make it from the academy so view them in higher regard than they probably deserve.

No but I'd have him in the team to learn - otherwise he'll still be a junior doctor twenty years later!

Shame he's gone downhill, he does have talent, but he got a lot of hype because he was from the academy. Think it went to his head, heard Warren Joyce said him and James Wilson thought they'd made it.
