Howson is coming to the twilight of his career. The best part of his career is gone. Decent player. Had his chance in the premiership but didnt quite cut it.

Well Nowich got relegated a couple of times..
Didnt see many premiership teams look to snap him up once norwich were relegated..

And that was all Howsons fault!.
I wonder what our midfield might have done if he'd been in there last season?..
We are a Championship club, Premier have so many players as good as him they don't need to snap him up!..
But he's the something we could do with!..
Howson when played in the 10 for us used to frustrate me. Had ability but went missing a lot. Was overhyped due to his link to tge club.
That said he progressed well at Norwich and was impressive in the PL.
Like many at Norwich, he seems to have gone stale.
I would buy him back in a second fir up to 5m. He would be ideal in the centre of midfield with his energy, leadership and experience.
Still a good age, scores a few, tracks, creates.
At a time when we have a lot of foreigners who might not understand the club, players like Howson and Bartley are worth their weight in gold.

He always wanted the ball, always worked hard, put a challenge in.

Never heard of or seen Saiz/Klich/Alioski play
People saying Howson and his 100 PL games didn't cut it, but Bartley did?

It was the weak link all season
Just feel atm we have more pressing areas to target, esp after signing klich. 2 Lb and 2 cb for me (Bartley and Taylor gone cooper not good enough).
Can understand the link but until we ship out Murphy and Dave I don't see the point

But we need someone in midfield who's better than we've got
I was thinking today that Murphy and Big Dave
will more than likely be sold. Taylor's obviously
gone. And have a feeling club might unload Dallas.
We'll see what happens with Bridcutt.
Don't see why we would sell Dallas. Only members of last season's squad I would move on are Bridcutt and Phillips, with the latter going to League 1 on loan.

If people want to know if Howson is any good still, look back at the games we've played Norwich - he ran the show from start to finish including the last game of the season, we got spanked in midfield.
He's MILES better than what we have, I think it's forgotten how good he was for us in his last season and the goal he scored to help promote us. He's a die hard Leeds fan and that's the extra you get.
If it's a choice between Bartley and Howson, it must be Bartley. He's a natural leader at this level. Agreed, Howson has the skills, but who do we need more at this moment? Bring back Barts.

Because we are not a premiership club nor have any parachute payments that we can afford to spend around £11 million on two players.
