Welcome back, Wetherby. Of all the play-off teams from last season, Huddersfield were the only ones who took 6 points off us, so deserve to go up. Personally, I think the best team got there in the end. Good luck in the Prem and rip a new one for the sucm, please.

Quick question, it looks like a we're about to sign another striker for £13m, the second one in a week. First one cost us £3.5m btw.

Getting back to the OP - Howson.
Is effective at this level, but was run of the mill in PL. Always tried to watch out for him on MOTD but it always seemed to be Wes Hoolihan calling the shots if the budgies weren't getting hammered.
Had to laugh at the Howson ran the show comment against us - The chuckle brothers could have barring Vieira.
Also definitely not a midfield general, needs protection.

Has a decent record in this league and is very experienced playing in this league.
Problem any striker coming into this team is that wood is always going to be first choice by a country mile and as our midfield currently stands I don't see how we have enough about us not to have to play 5 across the middle - which of course limits opportunities for other strikers and bare in mind we also have douk and roofe who can play up top as well as any (although he is well down the pecking order)
I'd never rule him out, he could be useful, but it would be a loan to buy for me rather than buying outright
