Torres

Drogba was more of a big game player rather than having an outstanding peak

Drogba's 2010 season was better than anything Torres ever produced, though.

Rooney won the player of the year that year. He did score 30 I think but Drogba had Lampard hogging all the penalties and still hit 30 himself.

Drogba should have won it that year.

I don't class one season as a peak. Has to be 2-3

Also Chelsea played better without Drogba that season. Hit 7 past Sunderland, 7 past Villa, and won at Old Trafford with Anelka starting on his own

I remember when Anelka started on his own uptop against Tottenham. He was facking useless. Pretty sure he was taken off for Drogba at half time.

Drogba scored what proved to be the winner at Old Trafford.

Haha remember that goal. Offside wasn't it. -

I liked Drogba, his feigning of injury was legendary

Torres was fantastic. Only being continually rushed back from injuries sent his career downwards yet Chelsea still paid 50m for a player who had started to decline for 6 months previous.
Drogba would be every managers dream, strong, great hold up player, goalscorer, great in the air ,loads of bottle and his displays helped Lampard achieve so much in his career.
Both fantastic players at their peak and any team would win the league with Torres and Gerrard at their peak or Suarez and Gerrard surely....maybe not.

Drogba was a great scorer of goals
Torres was a scorer of great goals

It doesn't apply to those players tho

Peak Torres was the best out and out striker in the world. He finished everything and scored some absolutely fantastic goals. We built our team around him, even pushing Gerrard to a 10 to support him. Unfortunately he was crocked when we sold him. Drogba is one of the few Chelsea players I genuinely liked. Amazing player and didn't have the team built around him in the same way. If it's peak performance, I'd take Torres. Otherwise, clearly Drogba.

Torres at his peak was better than Drogba but in big matches Drogba was way more reliable as compared to Torres. Also people saying that Torres declined are wrong as Torres was great for Atletico before signing for Liverpool. Then he had about 5 fantastic years for Liverpool before signing for Chelsea when he went downhill.

Zah,

Sorry mate but you are talking rubbish, Torres decline bagan after his injury at Liverpool, a year before he signed for Cfc, that is a fckn FACT.

All honest scousers will confirm this.

The Liverpool medical team doubted that Cfc would actually sign him due his injury , and in fact due to the late nature of the signing Cfc didn't carry out a full medical on him. FACT.

The player went on to have three seasons at Cfc a shadow of his former self , a season at AC i believe and a return to ATletico , where he has never regained his past ability that is over 7 years since he was injured.

Yes everything I say is rubbish and everything that other people say is correct.I am a Chelsea fan myself so I am not biased.Torres at his peak scored more goals per match but Drogba at his peak despite scoring less goals was a player for the big occasion. What is wrong with these statements? So goodbye.

Zah, if you go back to your previous post , you state that when Torres came to Cfc he went down hill, he was already downhill before he arrived , his form never recovered from his last injury at Liverpool.

Torres in his peak was short lived in comparison to Drogba in his peak which i think we can say was right up until he finished his first contract at Cfc.

Torres before joining Liverpool was a good player and then he reached his peak during his Liverpool days and then lost form for half a season as a Liverpool player after injury. Then he never reached anywhere near his top level as a Chelsea player despite showing glimpses of quality at times. Then he joined AC Milan for a brief period before returning back to his hometown club Atletico Madrid. So where was I wrong?Drogba was a decent player for Marseille before joining Chelsea who enjoyed a good 5 seasons as a Chelsea player and 3 great seasons.Torres enjoyed 4 great seasons for Liverpool and 3 good seasons for Atletico before joining Liverpool. So whats wrong here?

My main point is this,

Ignorantly Cfc have been continuously labeled as the root and reason for Torres's decline.

I think as such a knowledgable & committed Cfc supporter you have the common sense not to support that ignorant allegation and falsehood.

That is what is wrong imo with your earlier statement.
