Most of the top CBs in Europe are 29 or older so are not FSG type players. That is probably why we were in for VVD.

Can't see it happening, football is mad so it could but really his days look numbered at Liverpool.
His cost / wages could be an issue though for buying clubs if we're stubborn on the price.

Just don't do it! I'd be livid if it was done to Coutinho so why should our club do it? Just go through the proper channels.

Oh I'm very thankful for our owners, saves us from oblivion, got in Klopp and have spent good money.
ARE is a child.
It sounds crazy, but why hasn't another PL club gone in for Terry.
He couldn't manage more than 30 full games a season. But the experience he brings!

Well in relation to the above post about Terry, what's wrong with Pepe for a season? I reckon he could hack one season in the PL at least and on a free transfer as well. His wages will be high, but the experience and quality might be crucial. Spending £200k-300k a week on his wages is less ridiculous than £70m on a defender who has proven nothing at the top level.
I'm sure there are many very decent CB's out there that would be capable of improving Liverpool's defence at a much cheaper price. Look no further than Germany itself. Howedes at Schalke who no longer have Europe, Tah at Leverkusen who is a strong and young defender who fits the profile of Klopp or even ambitious to look at somebody like Sokratis who is also a very decent CB. Even players like Manolas who seems keen to move away from Roma even if it looks like he's going to Zenit, nothing has been confirmed yet.
I'm sure there are many CB's that are more worthwhile in cost and quality than Van Djik surely?
Pepe will be a great signing imo.
Well he has been linked with China who would be sure to probably pay him double what he would be offered over here, but surely it can't be a bad shout.
Is see that the Echo is carrying a vid of Sahko back in training, presumeably at Melwood. He's wearing the proper colours.
I make no secret of it: give him another chance Jurgen.

It was announced earlier that we would have been cleared of any wrongdoing as we didn't do anything wrong. There was insufficient evidence against us.
