Hayes is definitely an improvement on GMS.

But surely he has to be an improvement on one of the players who actually get a game or else he is just going to sit on the bench.

Do celtic fans not expect Hayes to play then?

I think he is an improvement on Forrest.

Of course he will play. Rodgers does not and very few manager just play the same XI week in week out.

However when it comes to a strongest XI if we sign Roberts or similar then Hayes makes the bench ahead of Forrest.

It's not really a surprising signing if you know what the thinking behind it is.

BR spoke a lot about transitional periods in our team when he had to rotate the squad to give players a rest etc. He spoke quite a bit about the fact it all went swimmingly because the players all bought into the same idea and what have you but there was clearly one glaring flaw whenever we done it....

Gary McKay-Steven, he started 3 or 4 games and came off the bench quite a bit when the squad was stretched and he offered the square root of flook all.

By bringing Hayes in and with GMS set to leave this summer, it allows us to bring in someone who has genuine pace, clearly has an eye for goal and has a decent end product.

No one is expecting Hayes to come in, play 40 games a season, starting most and take the CL by storm but as it stands we have improved our back-up options for when it's needed.

Feel free to use this to slap me if we don't bring in another winger btw

We need to get this one wrapped up.

Then move away from McLean.

Another winger in. Walker would be nice.

Finally get rid of wee scheidtbags like Windass and McKay and cants like O'Halloran that don't want to be here.

Well done to Linfield for putting Miller right

Returning to the OP, Dorrans is a fine player, imo and will defo enhance your starting line up

steve

he starts every season an u think "this could be his year" and then he fades back to his normal rubbish again

just fed up of it tbh, shows a lack of commitment, he tried his best and impressed until he got that new contract. pure wee prikk behaviour.

He was outstanding until December last year to be fair to Forrest so it was an improvement than his usual sheidt

Perhaps this year we will get him doing well until January or February..

Too many of these khunts about. Rangers have got a lot of them. MOH, Forrester, McKay.

I think the issue with Forrest more than anything is you know the wee kant is good enough.

A bit like McKay, both of them are talented boys but they just look so disinterested.

he was chasing back, he was taking players on, then suddenly it was back to normal.

thats not poor form, thats poor attitude, nothing stops him chasing back even if he's playing phish.

i honestly don't recall him ever having a stand out game against rangers.
