Shame for us if true, but probably best for the boy
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Doesn't seem like we are having a good summer so far if reports of our targets are true. This lad, Lemar & Zaha all deciding to stay or go elsewhere.
Hopefully we have some sort of transfer plan
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If we do not sign a LB I aasume it means Wimmer stays, and Davies resumes understudy duties at LB.
If Walker goes, it really would not surprise me if we went with KWP as Trippier's understudy. I would prefer to sign someone.
I still think we will sign a RCB such as Veltman or Ginter, and my guess is that will be seen to reinforce or RB options too.
The more I think about it, I see us only signing that player and promoting Onomah and Edwards, and backing them up with this French nobody
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't think Edwards is going to get much game time as think there's a few problems with him.
Really hope we sign Barkley tbh him & Sessegnon are the two I've really wanted with Lemar as a good extra
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is he playing up again?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not overly sure what the problems are but from rumours he's wouldn't sign a recent extension.
Be interesting if they take him America as the U19 tournament finishes just before I think

What is with young players and their attitudes these days, he's got a top manager who gives young players a chance and he's delaying on a contract, probably all about money.
He can't complain about lack of first team football last season as he seemed to be injured whenever the chance was there.
Like Nya Kirby, in and around the first team and decides he wants to leave for more money to only end up at Palace.
Agents are wrecking these young players.
Maybe just another way to shove a few more million onto his current value, who knows.
Unfortunately we have had problems with Edwards for a few years I believe.
Think it is family who are agitating behind the scenes. He has the potential to be a great player, but not if his attitude sucks at 18
As for Sessegnon, I don't think its a bad thing him staying at Fulham, he can learn more that way. Would like the Club to buy him though and then loan him back
As for the others we have APPARENTLY missed out on, we have not made any bids so have not missed out on anyone just yet. It is just poor journalism trying to crank up things.
We announce our Nike deal on Saturday, and it would not have been good signing players up and showing them off in UnderArmour kit, would it?
If we don't sign anyone good, GG would you finally criticise Daniel Levy?
Yes because every player we are interested in needs a bid
We was interested in Zaha but he decided to remain with palace = Lost out
We are interested in Lemar but he's wants to move to Arsenal over us = Potentially missed out
As for Nike going by someone who confirmed he's going to the launch on Friday so I guess that's when it'll be showed then on sale from Saturday.
Btw you can easily sign players and not have them holding a shirt.

No reason why we can't try again next summer, contracts aren't the be-all-and-end-all, of especially if they fail to get promoted.
HRH it was summer 2012 that under armour took the reigns:
It appears that we signed Lloris and Dempsey just about bang on deadline day according to BBC, who also have us down as signing Siggy on 4th July.
This was the summer we signed Dembele but facked around and didn't sign Moutinho instead
Agree with the poster who said we need to step it up in the transfer market, a better quality of player is needed. We have to have competition for places and a lesser drop-off in quality when we rotate the squad. Just facking stop with the french wingers nobody has ever heard of ffs
Pretty soon all the players we're linked to or we hope we may get will be signed up to other clubs or new contracts.
We don't need an upheaval by any means but a couple of quality players would be nice. I mean, as well as we did in the league, we did bomb in the cup competitions, and that will come down to the quality of squad you have.
Really hope we do better than N'Jie Mark III for this window.
Hengy etc, no I will not criticise Levy.
He has been an outstanding Chairman for Spurs, everyone seems to think that he fouls up transfers all the time. His policy has been to operate the club within proper financial parameters, and not to overstretched ourselves.
Yes there have been mistakes, Sissoko possibly the best example. However, he is the architect behind where the club is today and deserves a bit of respect and credit for that.
Having supported the Club for 59 years, I have seen some very poor Chairmen, let me tell you now, Levy is head and shoulders above most of them.
I don't know all the ins and outs of how the club is run in terms of transfers, neither do you, in most instances we are second guessing as to why deals fall through or even if they were ever deals in the first place.
It's simple really, a Spurs scout or member of staff attends a match somewhere, suddenly we are buying Harry Bloggs and his best mate. We might have watched Lemar, but whether we have actually bid for him, I don't know and neither do you.

But you clearly said we have not bid ( quote below ) so was that a lie?
"As for the others we have APPARENTLY missed out on, we have not made any bids so have not missed out on anyone just yet"
As for levy I don't get this he's been great for us so means we can't be critical for stuff he gets wrong ( and there's been a lot ).
We've seen what happens when fans are like you over with Arsenal that went years and years scared of criticising the powers and look at them now at each other's throats ( and they still win more then us )
Btw Harry Bloggs would cost far too much for levy to buy
No it wasn't a lie, I have no knowledge of any bids and neither do you.
I will criticise when I think it is necessary, however we are operated in a good way and have a carefully constructed financial set up.
You might not remember but I do, when the club was only days away from bankruptcy, I certainly do not want to return to those days.
Maybe when we have the new stadium and won a trophy or two, we might just be able to offer the wages that the United's, City's and Chelsea's of this World currently do.

Nobody said or implied anything about offering Man City-style 200k a week wages so not too sure why you felt the need to exaggerate what Hengy and others are suggesting we should do to push on.

As for exaggerating anything, I simply pointed out that we cannot hope to compete with some other PL clubs in terms of wages and fees offered.
Which is why we lost out to Chelsea for both Batshuayi and Willian

Really flawed logic.
If he gets more right than wrong, say on a 70/30 ratio, you ignore the 30 rather than give praise and criticism when it's due?
Could find load of links of examples where Levy has got it wrong but I'm going to work soon, off the top of my head, stretching out the Berbatov sale for an extra couple of million just to get Frazier Campbell on loan

I would be very very surprised if clubs are not contractually obliged to have new signings either in the shirt, holding the shirt, dressed in their clobber or have the logo plastered behind them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you must think Levy is perfect then because we'd be hard pressed to find you ever criticise him for anything, even if evidence was provided to show how he messed something up.
Nobody said or implied anything about offering Man City-style 200k a week wages so not too sure why you felt the need to exaggerate what Hengy and others are suggesting we should do to push on.
------------------------------
No I don't think Levy is perfect, but he gets far more right than he gets wrong in my opinion.
As for exaggerating anything, I simply pointed out that we cannot hope to compete with some other PL clubs in terms of wages and fees offered.
Which is why we lost out to Chelsea for both Batshuayi and Willian
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really flawed logic.

Not really, could easily announce we are signing a certain player but unveil them once the Nike launch is done.
