I am gonna get the Micro Machines one as it's only £25

Played it to death on the megadrive and the cool thing is that you can be the same characters like Cherry and Spider etc

I've not been on it too much yet Robb, but I was playing as my own gamertag name, didn't see a choice to pick someone else?

Need my Mrs to get better at it though she's so bad that it's not fun to play against her.

The offline racing is still similar in that when one of you falls off the back of the screen you lose a point, but she's so bad that as long as I navigate around the first corner from the restart I win another point

Is it only available on console? Loved the original, think I had it on the amiga 500!

Not sure to be honest, I know it's on the Xbox One as well so maybe PC too?

Used to love the speed boats on micro machines.

Speed boats in the bathtub with the soap bubbles as the track barrier

Loved the breakfast table one on the blue checked tablecloth I think

If anything, the new game seems a little 'busy' in that the tabletops, or pool tables have a lot going off on them.

Looks and plays very fun though, would imagine it will be under £20 soon.

Crash trilogy is great too, getting all 3 games for £25.

Just checked, you can get it on PC as well
Thats my weekend sorted out...

"Forgot how frustrating Crash was, and seems harder if anything especially on some of the more challenging sections and levels."

Because you're old.

My Mrs wants it, would you suggest buying it, is it as good as you remember?

Yes it's just as good. It's not lost it's charm or fun, despite looking better and it still hasn't been too 'polished' that it feels like a different game.

It's not just because I'm older either, there definitely seems to be a more strict emphasis on 'timing' of jumps on certain parts, the original was more forgiving.

And that's not a negative, it's good.

I lost around 15 lives on the first of the levels in the air with all the bridges falling apart

I've been acting the first crash on my PS Vita for the last 3 or so years so didn't struggle too much, it is an absolutely stunning game on the PS4 though, to say it's from a completely different developer they have done an amazing job!

I got Rayman Origins free with Xbox Games with Gold a couple of months back (I stopped buying games ages ago) and man, was that harder than I remembered first time around.

Fun though, if crazily frustrating for a completist.

The Spyro games were superb and I'd love to see a re-make of them.

They did a great job with Ratchet & Clank on the PS4 so Spyro could work well too.

I dust off the old crash games at least once a year, so i hope it's true that the difficulty has increased.

crash 3 i can complete (not 100%) in about 3 or 4 hours.

I have no interest in buying the remaster because as much as I enjoyed the game, I never completed it as platform games just weren't for me.

And this game was unforgiving as hell

I'm only half way through the first Crash now, but have come close to needing a new controller/tv/window.

Never actually played Crash 3 so looking forward to that.

Also looking forward to the 2nd as that was the one I spend most hours on as a kid
