He is overrated though isn't he, if we are being honest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like Lukaku then. Did he even score against any of the top six last season? Nay - did he get a touch?
---------------------------------------------
He was totally bossed in the Derby at Anfield and that was by Matip & Lovren, who we're constantly told are sh!te!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He scored vs City home and away, away at Arsenal n Spurs.

Also our defence kept your attack out for 180 mins but for a penalty we gifted you at OT. Your attack thus must be garbage going off your logic.

All the top players are overrated really, because hyperbole always outweighs reality, even with the best of the best.

I don't think there are many better left inside forwards around than Coutinho though. He can do things very few footballers can, and he's still got a lot of potentially great football ahead of him.

The best thing about him is his attitude. He gets on with the game despite being repeatedly booted for being too good. He's little but he's a battler, not in the nasty street fighter Suarez way, just in a quiet infectious way.

He's very good at winning the ball back. That's what separates him from say, a Hazard, or Mahrez for me. Those two have stacks of ability too, but I don't think Coutinho would ever phone it in like those players have when they don't fancy it.

He's not always good, but he's always in the game. He always wants the ball, always works hard, always tries things. Underrated qualities in flair players.

Well if Barca pay Cout £300k a week fair play.

They won't though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Is that what they will need the pay him like?

posted on 21/7/17

If the want to double his wages like we will VVD yes.

Being one of the three top teams in the world it shouldn't be a problem for a Barca to pay that

You don't know much about Barca then. The wages of the front 3 are having a serious impact on what they can spend, according to some Spanish journalist I was listening to last week. That's why they have been reluctant to go after huge players in other areas of the pitch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That's what I would say, we can't afford big wages here. But we pay Messi massive money, come and equal what you get at Liverpool. Live in the sun, in Barcelona.

Surely it's not a dream of players to ever play for one of the three biggest clubs in the world?

A lot of rival fans desperate to see the back of Coutinho by the looks of things, understandable given his quality.

Sorry to inform them it won't be happening, not this summer anyway.

His performance today puts another £10m on the price!

Delusions of grandeur

--------
and you're just plain deluded stretty if you think it's actually worth your effort to talk down Coutinho in order for JA606 members to think it's a good move for Liverpool to sell him to Barca.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Couldn't care less whether you do or don't. Not sure it would matter either way. Wouldn't have an effect on the outcome.

I would say given his talent level £72 million would be an amazing deal but in this day and age you probably wouldn't get much for that cash so you may as well
Keep him unless he becomes desperate for a move aka Suarez.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doubled that amount Stretty... shows what you know.. you were about 100% out

You've done exceptionally well, you have mugged them right off. Then again you've already spent half of it on one player, so as I said you might as well have kept him

Would you rather have VVD + 70m. And sell an in form key player.

Or stay with a team playing well, looking good for top 4 with Couts in it??

Well our attack has been fine without Coutinho. Defensively we needed improvement and we have got that. Obviously having both would have been the aim, but it hasn't worked out that way.

CFCs simple mind hasn't reasoned that VVD will be a key player.

Because your owners needed Couts cash to buy VVD Mahrez whoever

CFC was already told on another thread that we made moves to sign VVD and told Barca to do one in the summer so the two are not linked.

He's decided to forget that thread and try the same inane reasoning on another one.

we’ve improved an area that desperately needed improving and lost a very good player from our fantastic attack. we’ve still got a lot of money to spent to get more quality in.
