Their fullbacks fly forward which means the cbs have to be mobile to cover out wide if needed and that dm needs to be quick too to cover tge holes the mf leave when breaking.
Interesting to see city's defensive record next season.

You'd think fullbacks would be the cheapest position to fill, so 300mil for a new midfield?
The money's irrelevent unless it compromises strenghtening in other areas.
Assuming we get Mendy, I think we should leave it at that for this window.

Would have loved Mendy. However we are trying for more important positions and bought a cheap option instead. One could argue that the way Pep plays, the full backs are some of the more important positions.
Half the problem in central defence was with the central defenders pulled out of position to cover for full backs who either couldn't get back or who lost their man (Kolarov!!!). The money is nuts but no more nuts than a lot of transfers this summer. I also don't think we're not quite done yet.
So long as our season ticket prices don't shoot up to pay for the players I don't know why anyone gives a toss
I agree its crazy fees. What is crazier is getting in the situation where you have no fullbacks in the squad. We hadn't spent money on the position since 2011. If we wanted top quality ones we were all ways going to gent bent over.

So let's break it down.
£50m on Walker . Not even the best right back at Spurs. Cannot cross and suspect defensively. Levy ripped you off.
£50m for Mendy . Would rather have Gibbs. A one season wonder in the French league . Will be found out massively in the EPL
£30m for Danilo . This is an absolute shocker. Massive flop at Madrid. Cannot defend and for a Brazilian he is awful.
Mendy has only been at Monaco for one season you clown.
Pep is buying all these full backs so no other epl teams can get them, paying top $$$ in the process. No different to what Jose is doing really.
The Manc clubs should walk the league with all these premium expensive additions. No excuse for them really

hence a one season wonder . Liverpool did a much better deal getting Robertson who is twice the player Mendy is
congrats on all the wumming . maybe worth remembering it is a squd game not 11 & 1 sub like the old days. So 2 for every position seems to be the pre requisite from all of the top managers in the epl with the amount of games we would be expected to play.
