Just heard this little gem of a story, from when Louis van Gaal was manager of Barça.
One day, van Gaal was invited to a dinner party by a guy called Amador Bernabéu, a wealthy member of the Catalan bourgeoisie and former vice-president of the club.
It's hard to imagine LvG being overly-eager to indulge the local toffs, but he attended the dinner anyway.
Anyhow, at some point during the evening, Mr Bernabéu introduced his grandson, 14-year-old Gerard Piqué to Van Gaal, saying something along the lines of "This is my grandson Gerard, he wants to be a Barça player one day".
Totally unimpressed, LvG simply shoved Piqué, who fell to the ground, and then curtly remarked:
"Too weak."
What a legend!
