Only watched highlights here and there, but his technique and confidence do look pretty special.
-----------------------------------------
He just has so much going for him.
He's pretty special in a creative sense but what strikes me is he combines that with the movement and killer instinct in front of goal of a deadly forward.
That being said though, I'm not sure he's right for us at this moment in time for the same reason I think Sancho probably isn't, inexperience. With Felix too, he's probably better through the middle as a support striker and our biggest problems are out wide and midfield.
For where we are at the moment, I think we'd be safer bringing in more established players which we could do for a lot less than what either Felix or Sancho would cost and not have the extra pressure of a huge fee hanging over such young players.
The more I see Joao Felix though and with another month to go of this season, I might just have to forget everything I've just said.
Certainly quite a few spectacular-looking young forwards coming through. The high-stakes gambles clubs are taking on them is a bit of a Russian roulette, because over-committing on two or three who don't make the grade could cripple a club for long enough to see them drop down the pecking order. And, as we all know, it can be a struggle to climb back up it.
I'm still dumbfounded as to the money Madrid have splashed on Vinicius and Rodrygo.
vinicus jr's finishing was pub league standard before his injury sidelined him...that is seriously worrying
Shockingly bad, yeah. Also looked to me very much like a one-trick pony with his dead-down dribble until he ran out of legs to slalom around. I certainly hope it's because he was being told to stick to that single trick and not because he doesn't have any others up his sleeve.
That said, it feels overly harsh to expect much more from the kid than he's actually done, given that he's been thrown in at the deep end, with the team at arguably its worst point in about a decade and everyone in and around the club desperate to find someone to hail as the new Messiah.
how much more of marcelo does zidane need to see ?
bloke is finished at the top now
marcos llorente zz doesn't seem to rate this kid, and yet when he was given a run of games under solari he began playing extremely well (better than casemiro imo)
he's a fat waster these days daz
Yeah still love him, though.
why doesn't ZZ rate ceballos or m llorente ?
and yet isco and marcelo are back in favour despite being a pair of knooobs this season
Anything good on tonight?
i hope that is the score daz
Me too, but I think it’s more likely we get a pasting.
Pretty sure Jones has a future in showbiz if he puts his mind to it.
That bandage!
2nd highest wage bill in Europe. Highest in England. 3rd most expensively assembled squad in Europe. 2nd highest in England.
Oblak signs a new deal with Atleti, what a signing!
yes, important for atleti to keep their top players, after a disappointing season
see if with a little tweaking to the squad in the summer, they can come good again
Do the atletico players not get bored of Simeone ffs
Not knocking him as a coach, but Fack me it must be dull
i'm sure some of them must be getting tired of the non-stop intensity and physical commitment simeone expects
plus perhaps, the often dull football

It's really weird how pretentious people get when they have lots of money.
Hope I don't get like that when I win the lottery
Looks like Salah is on the menu for Madrid this summer
prefer Mane, myself
I wouldn't go for either in view of all the exciting young talent around. I'd rather splash out on the likes of Joao Felix, Foden and Sancho.
Either way, I'd rather invest first on players capable of controlling a midfield.
