City to win the league

Liverpool to win the CL

Arsenal to win the EL

Please
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what I see coming to pass.

City have looked very out of sorts recently, but Brighton haven't taken a single point off the top 4 this season.

Liverpool I reckon will win the CL final comfortably. Not only are they the better side, but each and every CL final between teams from the same league, it's the one with the greater European Cup pedigree that's come out on top.

The EL final is the hardest to call and I expect it to be tight, but I reckon Arsenal will win it. Missing out on top 4 means they need it much more, and there's also Emery's remarkable track record in the competition to give them more belief in him than Chelsea are likely to have in Sarri's plan.

I think Arsenal will win it too, they have two good strikers, whereas Chelsea have none. Chelsea’s back line aren’t the fastest (barr Rudiger, but he’s out injured for the season). Plus Emery has a good track record in EL.

On paper Liverpool are easily the favourites, but Spurs could in one off game beat Pool, plus Kane should be back for the final.

Personally, I am torn who I want to win the CL, like Poch, but dislike Spurs. Maybe if he wins the CL, he’ll probably leave Spurs to manage PSG next season.

Hi ping-pong. I agree in the main, though I do actually think you have good forwards, they just don't seem to be comfortable in Sarri's system. Despite which, I think Giroud is still top scorer in the EL. You also have far and away the best player out of the 22, and it's the sort of game you'd expect someone of his calibre to step up.

On Kane, I could just see him limping off after 20 minutes a-la Costa 2014.

I'd prefer Spurs to win it, partly because of Poch, partlybecause they're underdogs and are less likely to get here again, and also because it would be such a great against-the-odds achievement.

That said, I wouldn't begrudge Liverpool winning it, as imo they've been the best team in the tournament and also probably the best to watch.

Personally, I think Pool could be onto some sort of PED’s, otherwise I can’t explain why their energy levels are so high late on the season.

Hazard has been carrying our team all these recent years, he was poor by his standards, but still managed to create and assist for the goal and scoring the pen that sent us to Baku. Chelsea are going to sorely miss him next season. I hope he does turn up for the final, and if we some manage to win the EL, I will personally drive him to Madrid

Kane will be fine, plenty of time to recover until the final. I have a feeling Poch will outmanoeuvre Klopp in the final.

That's just your fear talking there.

you're better without him imo

Let’s just hope Spurs can piiiike it like they have most of their way through the CL. It’s been quite reminiscent of Chelsea and Liverpool’s fluke CL wins watching Spurs at times.

Chelsea still seem to turn up in finals, and like I said, with Hazard, anything is possible.

Our defence has completely gone to sh/t over the last month, so there's no way I trust us to keep him quiet.

Their midfield is also better than ours.

The only position where we are better is up front.

If we want to win the EL final, we have to put in a near perfect display.

Chelsea, for me, are still marginal favourites.

Didn’t you beat them in the last final you played? I think you give Chelsea far too much credit and Arsenal not nearly enough. You’ve had their number for a while, they aren’t the Chelsea Arsenal feared for so many years.

Yeah we did, but I'd argue we had a much better team two years ago.

I agree that it isn't Chelsea of old, who always used to do us over, but despite winning yesterday, some of our poor displays over the last month are fresh in the memory I still don't trust a lot of these players.

Like I said, the main thing I am banking on is Emery's record and experience in this competition getting us over the line compared to Sarri's lack of.

It wouldn't be pleasant if Sarri breaks his trophy drought against us

I’d don’t think there’s a great deal of difference. Chelsea did have a much better team that year than now, however.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s Chelsea, they are trophy winning machines so it wouldn’t be a surprise. Conte had never won a cup until they beat us last season, and that was up against a final king, so the manager’s records don’t really come into it. But I do fancy you to win, I think you’ll just have too much firepower for them in the end.

I’m hoping I’m wrong, we need another big club in there next year to share our embarrassment.

55-45 in Chelseas favour, for me. Hazard is that difference.

Atalanta close on a champions league place. Only need three points and that’s if Roma or Milan win all three.

Galatasaray are in the thick of one of the tightest Turkish title races in years.

Here are the video highlights of their game yesterday:

Clock isn't shown, but on 90 minutes Galatasaray were trailing 2-1 against 10 men (see also the red card incident), and the ref awarded them 12 minutes of stoppage time.

crazy turkish football

Courtois played like he was drunk today

another v poor away performance by madrid

posted on 12/5/19

Well we don't have anything to play for but the amount of effort in the away games since ZZ came back has been shocking. Too many players underperforming it's just not good enough. Looks likre Vallejo might have played his last game for us aswell. Only player who can hold his head up high tonight is Brahim Diaz.

yeah diaz played well and scored a great goal

isco and asensio were again v poor i thought

I mentioned earlier that Madrid seem to be facing the same problems we have with regard to professionalism and mentality since Zizou came back. Difficult to rid the team of that in the middle of a season.

yes...and unfortunately some of the players with the worst attitude seem to be those liked by zidane

solari, benched or dropped from the squad altogether some of them

That’s worrying moving forward for you. More worrying for us is that it’s most of the squad.

i'm so disappointed he seems not to rate marcos llorente and reguilon

i'd much prefer them to be at madrid next season , rather than casemiro ( v poor this season) and marcelo (great servant for the club, but past his prime now)
