I was surprised it was so easy for him that set. Completely dominated and was even outlasting Nadal on the long rallies. I see Nadal winning if he can take it to five, however. I think that’s when the tiredness will really start to kick in for Federer.

Maybe but Nadal needs to hold his nerve on his own serve. Federer’s been putting far more pressure on his serve than vice versa. And there’s the break.

Amazing from Federer. Those last two games were superb, especially Rafa on those match points.

Yep Nadal seemed to wilt on those longer rallies, surprisingly. Federer was deserved winner in the end. Hopefully the final is even better. I suspect Djokovic will have too much for Federer, however, I’d love to see the great man win another Wimbledon.

nadal's forehand on grass doesnt have the massive high bounce it does on the clay, plus fed's backhand is much improved

Yeah I’d agree with that. I thought Nadal was very disappointing on Federer’s second serves in those last two sets. Especially in the last two service games where Federer had to serve twice more often that he had been in the rest of the match. There wasn’t much on the returns and Federer won a lot of easy points on the second serve which should never be the case.

That was unbelievable. I said it could have been over in about an hour but didn’t expect it to be Halep that would have finished that quickly.

I don’t know what was more surpring, the manner in which Halep destroyed Serena or that Serena was gracious in defeat.
