I think pre-knee injury Ronaldo was more agile than Henry. Then you’d genetically engineer him to never get injured. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player blend such pace, power and agility with such a high level of skill.
I’ve no doubt Arsenal fans wouldn’t trade off Henry’s style for more conventional attributes. Just making the point that those were more valued attributes than they are now, which shows how good he was as many still considered him the best player in the world even then - albeit in this era he’d have Ronaldo and Messi to contend with, so maybe he’d be less critics but fewer rating him as the best as those two are just different level.
I didn’t read the comments on the article, to be fair.

That's the Henry video I was talking about. It's 36 minutes long though.
Sometimes I look back at those times and think how fecking lucky we were to have him. On the other side, I realise I'm never gonna see a player like that at my club again.
I feel like that about Fellaini.

Fecking forgot about Messi and Ronaldo. Those two are just so clear I feel bad for the other players.
R9 was so perfectly engineered for football, physically and technically so far ahead of his time and ahead of the rest of players around him, that I genuinely did, for a time, suspect he had been created in a secret lab somewhere deep in the Amazon.
That is how awestruck I was.

Hi guys
Hope you're all keeping your distance. Thought I'd sneak in for a sec and check on all of yous
Hi wumps
UK is on the edge of the coronadisaster
i've been self isolating for a week, working from home
how are these over there ?
Hi peks
I also have a feeling you guys will be hard hit unfortunately. Hope you stay safe. We have an uneasy chill right now here after we had some confirmed cases but after the government tracked down all their contacts and placed them in quarantine, people are a bit more relieved. I had actually travelled to Chad for work and was meant to stay there for a week but the office ordered me back immediately. Turns out they were right, the Chadian authorities shut the airport the following day. I would be stuck there for who knows how long!
Now, I have to self quarantine for 2 weeks and after day 4 of staring at the same walls, I'm officially going crazy. Don't know what I'll do for the other 10 days
wumps self quarantine like that is the best policy
wish europe would have taken the threat more seriously to begin with
After the Atalanta Vs Valencia match where so many fans that attended the game turned out positive, I knew you guys were in trouble. Your governments have a lot to answer for tbh
yes
their actions in the weeks leading up to this, and also in the first few weeks has been a disgrace

Nice to hear from you guys.
Wump, day 9 of isolation for me. It ain't so bad. It's only if you start getting sombre thoughts that it does.
My advice (which you haven't asked for) is a) establish a routine and stick to it. There are always loads of things to do around a house, whether regular cleaning/maintenance or improvement projects, and things you've long been wanting to do but could never find the time. I'm homeschooling my kid, and rather than get bored, I actually find I don't have enough hours in the day to do all the things I'd like to.
b) restrict the amount of cv news and world-is-nigh-style videos. They can get you down very quickly.
c) use social media positively. Reach out to family and friends, and also to people who might be feeling forgotten or neglected. Try to make a positive impact on someone's life
