Indeed it is. But when the alternatives are Fred and Scott McTominay we’re facked.
Whole club is facked, sometimes I wish we can liquidate so we don’t have to put up with the absolute shiiitshow that is peddled out by the cuuunts in charge
Not to mention every facking Glazer spawn need to hurry up and join their old man up there pronto
This is true. Though having a top manager would make a world of difference. None of the managers we’ve appointed fit that description.
Maguire and Telles should be a fun combination if Telles keeps overcommitting and leaving Maguire out to dry
------------------------------------------------
Ideally even though he prefers playing as a left-sided CB we'd have Maguire playing beside Wan-Bissaka and we'd sign a quicker CB to play beside Telles if we do actually go for him.
Tbh in an ideal world Maguire wouldn't be at the club, neither would Wan-Bissaka but at United that world doesn't exist.
Michael Cox on Twitter:
Man Utd beaten and largely outplayed by an XI containing (I would say) between 0 and 2 players who would get into the Man Utd side, and we are yet again told that the major issue is that they haven't signed good enough players. It's incredible.
While there were other factors (not any preseason). This comes up over and over, and it’s so hilarious and incredible how many people thing OGS is good enough because he scored a few goals 20 years ago
Michael Cox is right.
Although we've obviously improved under Ole I still don't think we're a particularly well coached side and I've said many times we're still highly dependent on individualism and off the cuff attacking moves to win games and yes a team's attack will always rely on the ability of the individual to quite a significant extent but there's still so much more to being a good/great team than that and I just don't see it with us.
Fitness is obviously an issue for us at present but other than that a lot of people can't seem to grasp the idea that there could be other fundamental issues that aren't personnel related. This happens so much on our board but it's not just exclusive to this site. I see it on twitter and other websites too but what surprises me most is how many pundits regularly overlook this side of things as well.
It's easy to say we need new players and we absolutely do but from a coaching perspective I think we're lacking compared to so many other clubs, some of which aren't anywhere near our level which is a bit embarrassing.

You guys get a lot of idiots who can’t put any perspective on football cos SAF was so good it didn’t make sense.
Likes of TopLad on here the other day said you had the best front 4 in the PL. I’m still incredulous.
Any manager we have is going to be held back by the useless people above them at the club. But given that is the case, the need for a top class manager becomes more apparent.
Brighton looking like quite a handy side.
Watching Tariq Lamptey and thinking about Wan-Bissaka makes me want to cry.
Semedo could be a really good signing for Wolves if he can find form again. He was a beast at Benfica.
Yeah very well coached side
They play some really nice football. Lampty looks grate, been more impressed by him than James.
Never rated Semedo. He’s basically Kyle Walker before Walker became good.
Yeah agree daz, said as much on Monday. James scored that screamer 30 seconds later
I really hope this rumour that Spurs want Lingard is true.
I'd imagine all of the goodwill aimed towards Levy and Mourinho over the Bale and Reguilon signings will be well and truly extinguished if they get rid of Alli and replace him with Lingard.
We need somebody unhinged to take some of our players off our hands.
Salah against Alonso should be fun.
It's going to be hard watching Thiago come on for them.
Proper ugh.
He’d probably be shiiiiit if he’d joined us anyway.
Cheer up lads, your Spanish side is 1-0 up an hour in at Huesca.
Was just gonna say. Is that Negredo’s first goal for Cadiz?
First official goal, yeah. Think he'd scored in preseason.
2-0 now, almost over.
Was just watching Celta-Valencia highlights from yesterday. Peach of a free kick by Aspas for the winner.
Does he still get called up for Spain?
Only Mourinho could leave me feeling grumpy after a 5 goal win
