I am very excited this season for sure. Going to be a banger with some good players joining the league and seemingly most teams strengthening.
Top 6 all have euro footy so none of this new found "advantage" nonsense that has appeared over the past couple of seasons too.

As we know from the last two seasons if you finished in the top 9 last season, you won't win the Title the next season

If we manage to buy Keita & VVD, and keep hold of Coutinho & Can we will have a top squad.
Been a long gap due to the lack of tournament football.
We have nearly made it and like most fans I hope my club make another signing or two.
Regardless of these inflated fees and wages it just keeps getting bigger every year...Chinese league anyone......

VVD...as good as a red, Matip and VVD as Cbs, they have everything as a pair; height, power, passing and speed.
If we can shut up shot we will go close this season, we know we always score goals so we should have a good chance.

If I'm brutally honest, the backline is still the weakest among the top epl teams. Clyne and Robertsen/Milner are very average. Matip is a decent/good cb, but not worldclass. He can grow into a better defender though.

If I'm brutally honest, the backline is still the weakest among the top epl teams. Clyne and Robertsen/Milner are very average. Matip is a decent/good cb, but not worldclass. He can grow into a better defender though.

This is a bit harsh. Milner has done well in an unfavoured position, and Robertson is a very promising player. Matip is very good, and formed a good partnership with Lovren. We were on the whole much better defensively when he played.
