He's going nowhere. Will sign a new contract with a 150mil release clause which will be active next summer. FSG have made a statement and won't change because coutinho will sulk for a few weeks.

Like Suarez he will be sent to the reserves if he becomes destructive.

SharticleCoutinho hasn't launched a scathing attack at the club like VVD has. Things can still be amicably with him and keep him for one more season.

I see no reason why Coutinho would want to leave Liverpool for Barca.

Obviously he wants to go my point is we can persuade him to stay for another season.

Really? A player who has asked for a transfer? Bad move. His head will be all over the show and bad for team morale. Best rid.

Have you ever played a full season of registered football in a team?

Genuine question.

You weren't saying that before.

Head in the sand, like I said.

I don't know why rival fans can't get this! We keep going around in circles with Coutinho posts and articles. So let me set the record straight what is the general consensus from Liverpool fans.

1. No one is begrudging Coutinho a move to Barca. We would all do it if we were lucky enough to be in that position. (There is no Anfield meltdown and fans raging like bitter fans have been posting. I Actually think it's subdued really for such a big story. I mainly think it's that we've seen this all before with Suarez, Torres etc).

2. The Money has to be right for Liverpool football club when he goes! (So far Barca have really quite low balled it when looking at the market currently, even rival fans surely can agree on this. And don't say he's really $h*t that's why, otherwise why would Barca be going for him so hard and using their power in the press).

3. FSG Don't want to sell this summer (The statement put out said this year however said nothing about next year).

4. Klopp doesn't want to sell him this year.

5. Before he handed in his transfer request fans wanted him to stay one more year then sell.

Although point 5 would of changed a bit. I believe the majority of LFC fans want him still to stay one more year as it's now nearly impossible to find a replacement with 20 days to go.

If Barca were to make an offer around 120-150 million then I would sell. (Money up front no 10-20 million in add on's etc). This would be for the fact that it's so late in the transfer window hard to find replacement and knowing that they have the cash to buy and are desperate for the player.

Rival fans weren't saying this about VVD and Keita. Heads in the sand.

I see what you did there. Copied from an article on the LFC- Van Dyk-Southampton FC saga.
