Today's many awful crucial decisions showed we badly need VAR.

Of course VAR is not 100% perfect. But it had a 99% accuracy rating in Russia, which is a lot better than non-VAR referees. Many of today's wrong decisions would have been overturned by VAR, they were awful.
Liverpool wouldn't be in the top 4 if VAR had been brought in this season.

VAR would have seen us awarded a penalty for the foul on Son late in the game, so if that pen had been scored you’d have 2 points fewer. I don’t have a detailed dossier of all your contentious calls so I don’t know how that balances out with you lot so far

Possibly. Just like the Wolves goal *might* have resulted in two more points for you had it been disallowed.
Might? It was a blatent handball missed by the referee.
With VAR we would have won 1-0.
That's like saying we would have won 2-1 against Arsenal with VAR.
