Bless 'em. They're an easily excitable bunch.
-------------------

The only poster I have seen going over the top about our performance yesterday and proclaiming us champions is actually a Chelsea fan.

Most of us are just happy to see us score a few goals at home for a change and at the fact that Jose didn't automatically adopt a more defensive approach after we went ahead. Hopefully we can continue that approach throughout the season.

Its their year

Its embarrassing how they are acting over Matics' performance yesterday.. I mean he was solid but you'd think he was the 2nd coming of Scholes
------------------------

I think he played very well, but suspect most of us United fans are just happy that he didn't play as badly as we thought he might. Perhaps some life left in the old dog yet.

Having cast an eye over threads on here since 6pm yesterday it seems Chelsea have taken united's 4-0 very badly

Seen comments fo a similar ilk from individuals across many clubs but as a collective Chelsea certainly have the highest level of butt hurt, bar Whal of course

Football is funny, when your teamdo well and you are happy you are accused of being deluded, it's almost like enjoying your team win is a bad thing on here

By god there is some amount of articles being written about United since yesterday.

None of us are getting carried away, there's been plenty of false dawns since SAF left.

Hated adored never ignored

Not going by the amount of articles written by opposition fans. Whether things are going good or bad United are still constantly mentioned.

Always mate, same for Liverpool, the sheer delight at the prospect of Couthino leaving is mad, comes with the territory I guess.

I have honestly been shaking my head this morning at some of the Chelsea fans. They seem to have their knickers in a twist - I guess due to the Jose, Matic & Lukaku links. The funniest thing is that they are getting all worked up about what one of their own fans has written, not what a United fans have written. Bizarre. We have had a good first game in the PL season - nothing more. But we can be forgiven for getting a bit excited at the performance yesterday having watched some of the negative football that has been dished up at OT over the last 4 seasons.

Ya I totally agree. How dare we enjoy a 4-0 victory. We've obviously named ourselves champions already because of it.

Chelsea fans should be more concerned with their own side. There's every chance that going away to Spurs on Sunday with a depleted squad could leave them 6 points off the pace already

In fairness to Utd fans it's not really Utd fans going overboard after one win, it's the media. Listening to TalkSport today is utterly comical.

And it's opening day of the season of course you're going to be delighted with a 4-0 win and like I said in the manner you did it has to be acknowledged as it was a big problme for you last season scoring goals at home, then the guy you sign to do this goes and does it.

Not seen any united fan say we will win A, B and C, just a happy set of fans. Had we been actually able to defend and won 0-3 we'd be the same, all happy with our attack and not conceding cheap goals, unfortunatley for us only half that happened on Saturday

The same happened last season with City after 4 games, it's the nature of the beast.

A couple of articles created by Chelsea fans on the Chelsea board about their £60m strikers debut, and about their 2 other starters coming back from injury... 7 comments and 4 comments. But there's Chelsea fans galore on all the Matic articles on here and the United board

Especially as all the Talksport fools completely rubbished our chances less than a week ago when we lost by one goal to the best side in the word.

What doesn't help is the click-bait sites like Ladbible etc. talking utter crap about United fans crowning themselves champions after one game, despite it usually being one or two people on Twitter (probably just having a laugh). Then you get the nuggets equating that to the majority of United fans.

Media sensationalise everything now in the fight for attention in an evermore crowded news space.

BS meter is very high at the moment.

Good to keep grounded & maintain a sense of perspective.
Opening wins always good.

They beat WHU for crying out loud, a team that will struggle to stay in the PL this year. Some of these sports announcers have always been closet Man. United supporters, however, some predictions are coming a little too soon.
