It was a different kinda Chelsea in those days mucker.

Wouldn't it be great if they, our other seriously big English clubs, thought could improve their squad by shelling out squillions on players from the SPL. It would mean we had the players they thought they could poach

No more local boys winning European cup like Celtic, mate.

Was Paul Elliot the last player to be sold to by a Scottish club to Chelsea?

I said sold, so that wee scheidt Islam Feroz doesn't count.

Think so bud.

I did a quick bit of research and it seems either elliot or cascarino, John Spencer or David hopkin.

Was Cascarino not 'traded' for Tom Boyd?

Maybe. It was quick research. I just looked at who most recently played for them directly after joining from a Scottish side.

So I'll take pov at his memory that cascarino was traded for Tom Boyd. Which probably leaves Paul Elliot, John Spencer or David hopkin. Which is about 25 years ago.

Oh aye John Spencer.

Handy snooker player too.

Tony Cascarino was awful😳

Just checked. Elliot was 91. Hopkins and Spencer were both 92, as was Cascarino.

Yass. I'm calling that a win for me. I needed that.

Who were you up against? Yourself?!?

Good win man...

Ha. My imaginary opposition is stronger than the salt shakers and whisky tumblers pedro is facing.

At least you won. Pedro was beaten by a late challenge from a high ball....

Tumbler...

I'll happily invent enemies if I need to. Don't make me go all Chris Jericho and put you on the list. (amusing wrestling anecdote achievement unlocked)

'You just made the list!!'

Yes, I do follow WWE. My son is still into it, although he's not been allowed to watch summer slam tonight as it's too late.

Hip da makes the list. I knew there was a reason I gravitated to you. I'll be skipping it live but I will have a look some time tomorrow. It's my silly soap opera entertainment. That and sweaty guys with muscles ribbons long hair face paint and glitter rolling around. No brainer.

Hmmmm-not sure either my son or daughter would class me as a 'hip da'.

Yes, I'm not attracted to it at all by the taught, muscular men shoe horned into revealing spandex, grappling with each other to the bitter pre determined end whilst flexing their rock hard, oiled bodies.

What were we talking about again?!?

As a bear WWE got me when a young handsome muscular rock asked if I smelled what he was cooking. I did not but I was hungry for his sideburns and possible dinner.

And in reflection the rock is probably the stage name missed opportunity a male pawrn star ever had
