Either way Morata is streets ahead a better technical footballer than Lukrapku

"Sadly sarcasm does not come across well on social media...there needs to be a sarcasm emoji"

Like a 'happy' Arsenal fan face, or Spurs fan with a trophy emoji?
Oh my bad, that the 'Sheeiit that's never gonna happen' Emoji...

Lukrapku rubbish. Best one I've seen so far is LoocackPoo.

The way Morata managed to cost Chelsea a last minute goal and a point against Burnley was technically brilliant to watch, then how he so technically and skilfully missed a comically simple header yesterday was also brilliant.

Lukrapku would have probably clumsily bundled both those chances into the goal like a giant oaf.

Technically not as good at scoring goals.

Can't argue with those stats Superb

That's why Iheanacho became the best striker in PL history during last season.

.....................

Comparable to Crouch's stats for Liverpool at one time. Misleading in the fact that many of his goals were when he came on from the bench when the game was already won.

As a neutral, here's my observation:

🏆 Morata will prove his worth when it really matters.

🎠 Lukaku has a proven track record as a flat-track bully

Considering he does well against Liverpool, I guess you see yourselves as one of these teams that get bullied.

Oh well, here's the evidence so far......

Romelu Lukaku has a worse goalscoring record against top-six sides than Wayne Rooney who hardly played last season.

Old Trafford legend Gary Neville admits not being Belgian's biggest fan... and record against top clubs backs up opinion...

Lukaku appears to flop in the games which matter the most.

In fact, Lukaku trails ex-Everton teammate Steven Naismith, new Burnley signing Jon Walters and West Ham forward Diafra Sakho in goals scored against the top six sides from last season since 2014/15.

In 35 games against the clubs where the margins for error are the smallest, Lukaku’s record leaves a lot to be desired.

Gary Neville said Romelu Lukaku goes ‘missing in too many matches’

Sergio Aguero has scored the most goals against top-six opposition

Gary Neville isn't always right.

Last season he scored against City, home and away and against Arsenal and Spurs.

For Everton.

Interesting.

But does not detract from my point, which is that since 2014/15 - and up to start of this current season - no one played more games against the top six during that period than Lukaku (35) and he has a worse goalscoring record in those equivalent matches than Peter Crouch and Jon Walters.

Additionally, Gylfi Sigurdsson also took on the top six on 35 occasions.

But the midfielder scored 12 goals in that time.

For Swansea.

Lukaku bagged a grand total of 5 in same period.

It totally detracts from your point because it is wrong that he is a flat track bully, when in fact, as I have shown he does score against the top teams.

Y'all are getting off topic.

We know for a fact that Lukaku > Morata.

So you agree that Lukaku needs to improve his return against the top 6 in the League then???

The exact opposite actually.

I made no claim that he hadn't scored against top six teams.

My point is that - so far - his return has been poor in comparison with other players. 5 in 35 games against top 6 teams since 2014/15.

In same period:

* Aguero scored 19 in 27

* Mane got 13 in 31

* Giroud got 10 in 26

Scoring 4 against Bournemouth is one thing.

When he gets a hat-trick against Spurs at Wembley I will be impressed.

..............

All are older than Lukaku and all of them play for better teams than Everton.

This is why your stats are lop sided.

Last season he scored five against the top five teams.

I am not even a Lukaku fan, by the way.

..............

I expect him to improve his return in general now he is playing for a team that will create more chances, and getting more mature as a striker.
