No. The World Cup, confederation cup and U-21 European Championship holders are no good

posted on 22/8/17

They turn up at tournaments, no matter how average people think they are

If they are not that good, England are no better than a bunch of farmers coming together.

Mentally weaker than the farmers. Big time millionaire Charlie's, but a bunch of 6 year old school girls mentally.

Doesn't the fact their national side are the current world champions answer your question

Why would you use a German club side as a gauge for how good German players are and not the national team...strange logic.

What happened to that Ozil lad? Looked decent a few years back but he's just gone off the radar.

I'd prefer a team of mediocre players upping their game when they play together, mates having a kickabout as opposed to a team of world class players playing for themselves.
German players are very good, maybe not great but when they play together they play as a unit. Every man knows his job.

posted on 22/8/17

Thats it hector, as a unit the seem to click, but considering they are world champions, individualy you have very few who you would look at and say.. "yeah id have him at utd".

Maybe only neur, boateng and kroos for me.

Boateng and Hummels are two of the best CB's in the world currently at club level

Neuer is the best keeper. Ter Stegen isn't too far off.

Kroos and Goretzka are top CMs and there are plenty talented youngsters tipped for breakout seasons.

Also according to Stretty so is Mario Gomez

Would have no worries signing a German based on a few fairweather performers like Ozil and Gotze

Well they won the WC, got to a Euro semi and won the confed cup with a reserve team.

Nah, you're right, they're no good.

Who would you take at utd then busby who you think would improve us?

posted on 22/8/17

Neuer
Ter Stegen
Hummels
Boateng
Muller
Weigl
Goretzka
Kroos
Henrichs
Werner

All would get a place in the United squad plus probably a few more

Neuer
Ter Stegen
Would take neither over de gea

Hummels
Boateng

Id take boateng ahead of jones, wouldnt take hummels ahead of bailly.

Muller
Weigl
Goretzka
Kroos

I would take kroos, mulker was awful last season but wpuld take any of the others ahead of matic, herrera or pogba.

Henrichs

Werner has had one good season, he got 13 goals in 90 odd appearances at stutgart, would deffo not have hom ahead of lukaku, rashford or martial

They tend to have players who have fairly unremarkable club careers but legendary international ones. Klose and Podolski are obvious recent examples.

Neuer is better than ddg. I'd defo take that swap.

All of them would make the United squad though.

Neuer is better than De Gea.
Ter Stegen would be 3rd choice behind those two but ahead of Romero.

United are short at LB so there must be a German LB who would at least make the squad.

Henrichs is a RB with loads of potential, going to be better than Darmian anyway who is second choice RB when not playing on the left.

Kroos would play.

Goretzka i think is better than Herrera but would easily improve the CM options over Fellaini, Weigl would be a replacement for Carrick in the squad.

Muller would be a great option from the bench.

Draxler would take Youngs place. Reus would improve upon Lingard.

Plenty of Germans that would come in and improve United.

Not sure why you'd put Goetze and Ozil in the same sentence. I know Ozil is always everybody's favourite scape goat in Arsenal (myself included sometimes), but in 2 of his 4 seasons at Arsenal (the middle 2), he's been our best performer.

Youre always gonna get some to come in and make up squad places, but this is a team that has won so much internationally recently.

Surely with a team that has won that much, youd expect more than just a couple who could come into a starting 11 and really make a difference.

Thats the point of my post, individually, are they really that good?

A lot of what your listing are replacing players who many deem arent good enough anyway

posted on 22/8/17

Hector would get games for us at left back, no doubt.

Let's start from you naming international sides that you think have great players and let's maybe compare them to Germany.

Basing it on individuals playing at the highest level

Argentina have the likes of
Messi
Dybala
Aguero
Mascherano
Higuain
Di maria

Spain have the likes of

Ramos
Carvajal
Isco
Alba
Pique
Busquets
Iniesta
Silva
Thiago

France have

Lloris
Pogba
Varane
Matuidi
Benzema
Kante
Mbappe
Griezmann
Rabiot

Brazil have

Alves
Neymar
Silva
Sandro
Coutinho
Fabinho
Casemiro

These are all players who would walk into 99% of most teams first 11
