The funniest thing will be if they miss out on top 4 with him. I mean they only just got 4th with him last year and that was with no European Football and an early FA cup exit helping them. Not to mention a weaker United and City to contend with last season too.
If they come 5th or worse with him they've passed up on £110m and for what? Klopp has to deliver basically.
---------
Funniest will be if United finish 6th again or even out of CL spot and drop to Europa league from their CL group.

Liverpool have an unhappy player in the dressing room and turned down ridiculous amount of money for him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gino, you've lost me mate. ( easy enough I suppose I would have to concede). But, what unhappy player? Unless your been taken in, hook, line and left bolok into believing the total Spanish press shiiite about how imminent the transfer was going to be.
Hang on, you did believe it didn't you?
Or was it just eternal hope?
I think we should be told.

Eric, Eric, come on mate, get over it. It's really eating into you isn't it, you being so sure Couts would head south. Move on mate, it isn't doing you any good. If you believe the bolix that because a written transfer request (by e-mail???) was received then it must have been inspired exclusively by him, and him alone, then it has to be said.
That's sad, that is.
Poor wee thing.
JimmyTheRed
I'm sure Coutinho would jump at the chance to go to Barca if he could just as DDG would have jumped to Real if things had turned out in his favour but I'm sure Coutinho will just apologise, blame Barca etc and buckle down.
Obviously I'm no Liverpool fan but it's good to see the big Spanish clubs not always get their way
You are definitely right there, Robb.
Em, 'jump at the chance' eh? There wasn't a single quote attributed to him personally, he'd just signed a five year deal during which he lionised his manager and was very happy where he was.
Also, no release clause in his contract. Surely if he would jump at the chance, why didn't he and/or his agent not have it included in his contract?
Could it be that, perhaps you've been influenced by believing the total bolix spewed out by the press?
Final questions: do you know a ManU supporter?
Called Eric?

right, now whats vvd's phone number again?
Greatteams, I am firmly of the belief - I accept I have no evidence - that pressure was brought to bear on him to submit the transfer request. Certainly, with the worm apparently turned, the Coutinho 'family(?) are now saying that pressure was indeed brought to bear.
And that brings me back to a view I've expressed before: Barca started their usual policy of deciding and then expecting clubs to fall over in agreement, the press join in, 'friends' (no quote from him)say he wants an amicable transfer.
But he doesn't want to go,or not go yet. Just look at his comments on the signing of his contract in January.
So, quietly, he actually turns to FSG for help. And they willingly oblige with the fekoff reply to Barca. That's allowed him to say,'well,I did ask, but they .... it's not my fault'.
If you accept that, then the jump and the transfer e-mail don't equate.
I accept, I don't have the evidence, but I suspect that may we'll be the case.

I hope Coutinho stays... you could buy some right players with that money if he goes and become a proper threat. Coutinho spends a third of the season injured and a third of the season missing. Admittedly when he's not injured or missing he's a pretty good player, but £120m?
